Yes I'm cynical. But I think your response is even more cynical than me!
I actually met somebody with whom I've been for four years, over the internet. But you choose to overlook that by saying that the internet is full of "sickos and rapists". And you call me cynical!

And my point for reviving this thread was that it was my first post here. I think it's kind of weird that it was my first post, but, whatever. It was a long time ago and I knew nothing about AS or myself :D

No. I'm not cynical. I've been through 2 failed relationships. I'm an optimist with a side of Pessimism. I'm in to something right now that I don't know where its going. but we've been friends since valentines, and we hang out occassionally. heck, she wanted to invite me to her beach house this past easter weekend, only reason she didn't was because there wasn't enough room. we're not even dating and she wanted to take me with her.......yeah....little bit awkward with that. oh and the other thing is...I'm in college. I'm a freshman, and she's a junior, same college, so that is......I'm not sure. but I'm okay with it. my parents haven't met her, but they're the cynical ones towards it, because of my last relationship (she was 27 and a freshman). so yeah.

I would date a teacher, but the teacher I would date probably wouldn't date me.

18 and 25 is a bit of an age difference, but if you're 18 and out of the house with some real world experience under your belt, it could be doable. The 18-25 age range carries a wide distribution in maturity, some 25 yearolds still live at home and haven't really done anything since high school, other 25 yearolds have been through college, military, or a professional career, and are completely different compared to the first 25 yearold.

In the same respect though, as you get younger within that bracket, there's a better chance that you fall under the first category.

Try Plentyoffish.com--it won't cost you anything.

I've tried everything with no success.

I’m still trying Myspace, which is a colossal waste of time and space. At the very best I end up with some girl who initially adds me back and then never responds to my messages ever again. If I push the issue she will usually unadd me after a few insensitive words. Right now there are more spammers then actual girls on Myspace.

Plentyoffish was free but a waste of time. I think I sent a message to every viable female on the entire site. I ended up with nothing but spam, escorts, and a few girls that send a few messages and then disappear.

Yahoo personals was terrible. I ended up with one woman who was offering to “date” me for $250 per hour.

Most of the people I work with in real life are either older then me or committed (married or dating someone). There is no hope. I’m probably never going to find a GF. I should just give up.
