Happy Death Day? :(

I only had the priveledge of enjoying his music after his death and even then had no idea he was dead so I'm glad it didn't come as a shock to me like it would have for many of his fans while he was alive.

All I can say is what ashame. He had such talent for music and on a level that wasn't so in vogue. I think that's what gets me hooked on many singers and musicians....when they make that music their own. Kurt had a very distinct style for his music.

RIP Kurt C.

One of the best things he did was that, without him, Young Marble Giants and The Vaselines and a variety of his favorite bands (mostly bands in the polar opposite genres of hardcore punk and twee pop) would be extremely obscure and their albums out of print.

I kind of like Nirvana, but I always thought that Screaming Trees were the best band in that whole scene.

if I became this popular by doing what I love I'd have blown my brains out too.

shame, he was a great musician. just completely unfit for life. I can relate to that.

elfnote- I believe that it was murder as well.

Anyone that disagrees with me- Please do note use the generic response "obviously you have never been depressed", because I have. I have even been suicidal due to the feeling of not belonging to this generation. Irrelevant of whether you believe he was suicidal, there is still evidence to the contrary.

Go to justiceforkurt.com and cobaincase.com if you wish to investigate this matter further.

You can also obtain a copy of Tom Grant's case manual on a link I created below:

If anyone wishes to discuss this with me, I would be more than happy to :)

Shannon.

A lot of the problems he had might have gotten better if he'd just laid off the drugs for a while, or cut back. He really didn't have to suicide and thereby make such a loser of himself.
