No, me too! :D And I think there are at least a couple of others.

(There's a thread going on in General Autism Discussion right now about whether or not Kurt had AS himself - you might want to check it out...)

I'm going to have my usual Nirvana rant.

Nirvana are one of those bands who are simultaneously overrated and underrated, as far as I'm concerned.

I think they're overrated because for all the work they did to clear away hair metal and break grunge in the mainstream, Kurt Cobain was by far no the first person to hit upon the kind of sound his band had. Mother Love Bone, Green River, they all paved the way.

However, I think they're underrated because so many people think the above fact must mean they are therefore terrible. But Kurt Cobain's chords were extraordinary, he took really dissonant music and made it work effortlessly. Also, it'd be hard to overstate how MASSIVE Nirvana were in the early 1990s, sales and gigs wise.

I grew up on Nirvana, and although I don't really listen to it much anymore, I get the chills when listening to Unplugged. especially to "Where Did You Sleep Last Night", the way he sang it is just heartbreaking.

Yes!! !

Love his stuff, I didn't really know about him until after he died...loved his music. My sister was crazy about him.

I still have a thing for grunge music.

What a shame and waste of talent. :(

RIP Kurt Cobain.

Nirvana is a great band, but they definitely aren't as good as people say. They are very overrated, but that doesn't make them terrible. They are still good.
