look , i'm not trying to convince anyone that they HAVE to take meds to cope.........it is your CHOICE.......I am simply stating that they work for some people, and those people should not feel guilty ...

some people will always be anti-med, some will always be pro-med, some will be advocates of over-medicating...........................every med, from tylenol on up to SSRI's have adverse side effects. ...

my hubby uses earplugs when he has to go to places like the mall, etc.....he can still hear, but the noises aren't as loud

i think meds are necessary in some situations......meds will not cure aspergers-nor even address many of the symptoms.......the meds can & in some cases, do address anxiety & OCD, aggression & ...

good luck !..........if you're trying popsicles, you could always try letting her have a couple of licks before taking the meds ( i dunno, maybe it will numb her tongue ever so slightly).....

my son wasn't sick very often, so didn't run into this problem much.........i'll admit that bribery worked here. if he swallowed the med without a fuss, then he got a piece of his favorite candy.
