This is very different from somehow getting the idea that anyone would recommend to meassure the value of one´s own behaviours and needs against that of some assumed average behaviour. Learning eye contact as as skill might be great if one does not forget that its not neccessary always to use that skill, and that it is perfectly fine if one uses one´s native langauge when one needs too. |

However, I just have to nitpick about the learning German example--I would compare Aspies learning about the eye contact thing more to cats learning how to bark: one's first verbal language is not hard-wired into their biology from birth. Sorry, just had to be a perfectionistic semantic freak. ^^' |
