I am an artist. But lately my inspiration to paint has been about as plentiful as jobs in Michigan! But i think it's exactly that that is robbing me of the energy to re-embark upon my passion--my life's purpose! Laid off from a great job in 2002 that I had for 7 years, I have had 7 jobs since! laid off, onto unemployment, hired, laid off, back on unemployment, hired, laid off, back on unemployment until I exhausted all of my benefits during the deepest recession in Michigan since the Great Depression of the 30's; hired just in the nick of time to save me from eviction and having my car reposessed, into a miserable job that has literally made me sick (it is supected now that I may have lupus), only to have my hours cut to 2 days a week! The Waterford Career Center is my place to search jobs and socialize simultaneously. I can't believe that just ten years ago I was doing my socializing a a coffee house in Royal Oak (the one with the couches, for those familiar with Michigan). I can't believe I once had a social life (of sorts, we AS people don't really have normal social lives). WHERE ARE THE JOBS? WHERE ARE THE JOBS? I'm a good worker when I'm in my element. I know I'm not a career person, just a day-job person. But WHERE ARE THE JOBS? Give it back! Give me my life back! Please someone help me get my life back! LET GOOOO! LET GO OF MY HAIR! GET THIS PIT BULL OFF OF ME!!! Give me my inspirations back, the ones as scarce as Jobs in Michigan! Or just saw off Michigan, and tugboat it to the continent of Asia! It's the same thing.
