Carl Jung vs. Sigmund Freud

In my earlier years I was certain that any religious belief was a delusion of influence (which was the point of view favored by Sigmund Freud) I now adhere to the beliefs of Carl Jung; his point of view being that he couldn't explain what God was but he knew he was for real. Over the front door to his house was a plaque that read "Vocatus atque non vocatus deus aderit" which translates "Bidden or not bidden, God is present"

I have always wondered to myself as what kind of vibe I must give off to others. Looking back I can see how numerous people did or tried to take advantage of me. Maybe they could sense my eagerness to please and get along as a weakness, who knows? I have come to the realization that there are predatory human beings. Just like in the wilderness, a stronger animal will try and prey on animals it views as weak or sick. For the last few years I have developed an exercise regimen to build up my physical size and strength. While part of my motivation is my own personal health part of it also is a defense against predatory people. I guess this would be a prime example of our ability to focus.

This is my first post here on Wrong Planet. I am a 52yo
male with undiagnosed Aspergers. Looking back I realize that I have always felt different. I have always been intellectually gifted but sociallyawkward. Most people (when I was growing up) were of the mindset that if someone could think logically and hold a job, there was nothing wrong with you. Autism runs in my family; I had one brother on the lower end of the autistic spectrum and I was on the upper end of the spectrum. I never had any girlfriends growing up although I did have
several "liasons". I don't know if I am actually capable of having a long term relationship. I live alone with my 4 dogs in a small home in the country in SE Virginia. I have a college degree in History Education. I presently have a good job (no longer in teaching) and have had that job since 1999. It was a relief to finally acknowledge to myself that I have Aspergers.
