Finally, an explanation for my lifelong social awkwardness! I've always felt like my wiring upstairs was awry, and this seems the closest explanation to my predicament. Regardless of how friendly or sociable I try to be, I usually do something subtly rude or innapropriate or just dont convey myself correctly during conversation and interaction. Sometimes I catch myself, but it doesn't matter. I'll always do it no matter how self-aware I am. It's pretty annoying and frequently depressing. Some people say its a gift, and while I admire the earnest nature of most aspies, I cant say I embrace the condition as other than a hinderance. I'm not a savant in my interests and paired with my social shortcomings, I worry about my future job possibilities after college.
