LONDON TRIP!! (my 1st time!)

im in london today and weekend.. never been b4 seen loads of sights and tonight met some fellow flag enthusiasts and was eating chinese at 11 pm.. and 4 1st time in years i felt involved in a group conversation..cos we all just has one convo at a time... i didnt even feel like an aspie even though i am... it was weird but really nice! i cant wait 4 tomorrow and im goin to show them my flags... i brought like 8 , flags wioth me for them to see.
its nearly 1 am now and im buzzing... i been a awake since 6am when my cat woke me up by using my arm as a scratching post and came on the treain for 4 hours to m london... wembley stadium looks totally cool.... i used the tube like 10 times got lost twice but found my way in the end my body is aching now cos i walked so far. but im too awake to go up to my room yet! so im jst using the hotel computer.
i bought myself a union flag t shirt hat and a small flag so today walkin round london i looked like a british patriot and london is cool and im proud is part of my country i had 2 sets of ppl wanting to take photos with me because of my walking flag apperance! tonight i wore my american flag jacket on top of my union flag shirt to go to the chinese place and a guy wanted to buy my jacket off me.... of course i refused !
cant wait to pass these pics of routemasters i have for cockney rebel she gonna love it.. lol... ill see if i can ride one before the weekend is out lol
i saw buckingham palace today and saw the guards pacing back and forth in front of it (they were wearing blue uniforms and not not red with black furry hats)
i saw london bridge and went over it and saw an american flag flying (amongst a group of national flags)so i was watching it and taking pictures of it i stood either side of the middle of london bridge (where it openes up if a big ship needs to get through) and topopkk a phto of it cos there was a gap mand u cud see the river running thru it and i had one show either side of the bridge
then i went to westminster and saw the houses of parliament big ben clock and went over the bridge towasrd the london eye but got stopped on the way by a mna who did characatures so i had one done for the fun of it and its really funny and looks alot like me!
then i went on the london eye (massive viewing wheel - in fact the largest in the world) and chatted to 3 americans from GA... i asked the lady if she was southern and she said yes... and i said are you from GA,,, and she said yes very good!! she had a wondereful accent... i love GA accent and her husband and sister were there too and we were chatting about london and how in her home she collects things on the london bridge and really loves it and has some union flags on her walls...
i got a bit lost again on the aay back to the hotel and it was gettin dark so i asked a cabbie to give me directions (bout 9 15 pm) and he was real nice so i eneded up tellin him about my flags and things too and he sed he was waiting for some1 at 9 30 so we chatted till then and then he offered to take me to my hotel for nothing so i did with this other lady and he gave me his adress so i can write to him and i will do when i get back home
then i got to me room (on thre 4th floor- which isnt easy after all the walking i did! my legs ache... ) flopped down on my bed and kissed my flag for about 5 minutes then the phone ringd and its one of the flag guys askin me to come out with them to the chinese ... ive had a brilliant day and i cant wait for tomorrow now!

well.. this is my 1st blog i just learnt what the word means when my friend Jessica- aka doordoctor was tlling me she was replying to Cockneyrebels blog about her buses and i asked her what a blog is and she told me. So... here i am. lol
i joined Wrongplanet last year just before i got an offical diagnosis for AS (age 21- now im 22) i really like the forums cos its nice to know there is some people out there that do think like me. however i feel rather alienated and left out in the chat room although i keep trying to include myself people in there never seento want to know me which i find really upsetting and i dont understand why it is they dont want to know me. i thought at first it was because i chatted about my flags quite alot, but ive been in there and not said anything about my flags and people still dont want to know me.
the thing is with my flags now ive mentioned them is that i love them. and i think even most aspies findit hard to understand somebdy who loves an inanimate object like it ws a living thing. what i want more than anything is to find like minded people. not necssaserily people who love flags like i do although this would be lovely but people who have an inanimate object which they love more than anything else or anyone else in the whole wrold.
i have met and befriended one such person through wrongplanet whom i chat to near enough every day and this is Jessica the Door mending Hardware loving girl. i feelat this present tim that she is the only person walkign the entire face of the earth who understands me. i dont know how long ive known her but i consider her my best friend. we chat about everything really.. our obsessions and love for our door hardware and flags comes probably highest and most talked about subject even though i know very little about door hardware but ive noticed it more since knowing her and every time i see a door closer i think of her and evengo up to it to see who made it. and she says the same about me when she sees an American flag.
we chat about our pets my 2 cats and her new puppy who likes chewing on the arms of dor closers apparently! we chat about news and current events and sometimes rather more amusing subjects to both of us FARTING! we know these websites where you can go and listen to people who have recorded their farts and posted them on the sites... some are obviously fake but some are absolutley hilarious! and im going to try and record one of mine if im online and feel it coming lmao
im thinign back to whre the obsession and flag fetish came from i dont know how my obsession particularly regarding the American flag came from. id never previously had any interst in flags. they were just a piece of colored cloth attached to a stick or pole bearing no significance on my life wahtsoever.
im thinking back and thinking that it started out with liking the USA and wanting to find out about the USA a bit more and attachign myself to the most obviously most loved object there is in the USA - the flag.
it got more intense after i bought my first american flag and i found myself wanting more flags aswell as still at the same time planing a vacation to the USA
beofre going out to USA i owned 6 american flags 5x3 ft made in taiwan which id bought in my local town. i liked having them close to me all the time and i used to even go as far as wearing one underneath my shirt to workso i could be close to it. i have now stopped doing that and have 2 small flags inside my wallet.
in septmber i wnt in search of a new flag on ebay and got one measuring 15 x 10 ft for $95 and had it shipped to england from AZ and i took that flag with me on my trip to the USA cos i liked it to much to be without it for 5 weeks
i came back from the USA with 36 american flags which are now mostly displayed all round my room and ill take some pics of them and put it in the album :D
the flags range in size and material and who made them but they all look really beutiful of my walls an things and the excess flags stay on my bed for me to cuddle at night including the huge flag who is too big to fit on my walls! anyway i could type about flags all night but not sure how many people would want to read it so ill just stop. lol
