WOW, your hair changed BOTH WAYS!?!? Usually it just gets darker(from what I heard anyway). As for eye color, MINE used to be blue also. I never knew eye color could change based on mood though. WOW! And Nicky. YOUR eyes are cool too. I think you know that. They REALLY stand out in your avatar.

well, it was dark brown when i was born, but it all fell out and grew back blond.. then it darkened over the years... but my sister's hair started out dark brown and then lightened to light brown (not quite blond) and then darkened again to dark brown...

thanks :D i posted a pic of my eyes on the first page, if you want a better look.. my avatar's kinda pixelated.. ^^; (it was the only way i could meet the file size restraints :( )

I have had almost everything.

I was born with dark brown to black. They changed to clear blue when I was a child. As a teenager they went hazel green but changed with my moods from blue to green to hazel to grey. In my twenties they stayed hazel but used to slowly go back and forth between that and grey-blue. Right now, they are grey.

Yes, that avatar pic of me has been altered in photoshop.

i really like my eyes but i think their colour is a bit plain, ive got brown eyes which are exactly the same colour as my hair and theres nothing interesting about them like flecs of other colours or anything.
i wonder if eye colour may have anything to do with physical attraction. i know most people have an eye colour preference but maybe its because more interesting eye colours just, well make you more eye catching with first impressions etc etc

any ideas? x

My eyes seem closest to gray, but not entirely - they could be considered either bluish-gray or greenish-gray. I've also been told that they seem to reflect my surroundings (blue sky, clothes etc.) and change color accordingly, so that at certain times they may seem bright blue, while at others the color looks duller, more toned-down and more like gray.

If they're quite/somewhat dark in general, you've just fittingly described my eyes. I consider them to be mainly dark steel blue/midnight blue which change according to the factors you already listed and also my mood. When I'm feeling down, they're closer to grey and when happy, closer to blue (with possibly a really slight amount of green).

My eye.

Check this out.

One trait many of us share is the dark band at the outside of the iris like a border. Makes you look at it more, it seems.

My eyes are like Keoren's:Image

I'm experimenting with my crappy Fuji that doesn't seem to pick up green, but this is quite the reasonable facsimile.

EDITATION: these eyes belong to Diamonddavej. My mistake. Also, the owner of a red Ford pickup has left their lights on in the parking lot.

Holy hell that's cool looking.

My eyes are "hazel." That is, they're blue, greenish gray with gold flecks in the middle around the pupil. They also sometimes change color.

My father's eyes are red though, and he's definitely my genetic link. In fact, I spent a whole day with a bunch of family from his side and I really think that they all have aspie traits now.

Well, thi certainly doesn't do my eyes justice, but:

Image

So the dark color around the iris isn't common? I thought it was, and nobody remarked about mine, even though IT is obvious in all cases. BTW I tried to get a good shot, and looked into the light to make the pupil smaller and the grey around the pupil more distinct. This camera was a cheap M/S VX1000(?), and not bought for the kind of resolution some of your cameras seem to have.

This IS interesting that so many of you have the SAME type of difference that I was told was odd and rare.

BTW when I tried going close, the color washed out, etc... and looked like some of the uglier pictures here. It makes me wonder what your eyes REALLY look like. I have an OLD picture taken when I was 5 that, BLOWN UP, has better quality than this one I took yesterday. Of course, IT doesn't show the inside color so clear, maybe it was too dark, etc...

BTW Clicking on the picture brings up a larger copy that is much easier to see.

I think pretty much everyone has a dark color around the iris. Do a Google Image search for "eyes," and you'll see it in pretty much all the pictures.
