I've noticed that aspies are often bullied in school, particularly middle and high school. I'm in 8th grade, and I'm often bullied for my height, my intelligence, and my little quirks. I was wondering if we could all tell how we are bullied in school, and maybe we can find a way to help eachother out.

| I've been bullied pretty much from preschool to my senior year in high school. To me, bullying seemed as normal a part of school as coming to class on time. |

Even though I wasn't bullied (physical or very directed verbal), I was made fun of a lot, even more in elementary and middle school. I'm still made fun of now, but it's not as bad. I've also gotten used to it, so it is typically something that I just choose to ignore. _________________ Itaque incipet.

This is mostly true for me as well. I went to a rather small Roman Catholic school from K-8 (although I've always been atheist) where the class sizes were around 30 people. This small, easy controllable atmosphere made it so there was literally no typical school violence. I did put up with the harrassing mainly because my anger works like this: I get angry, as if my body feels like it's on fire, then after about 3 seconds, I feel something totally opposite.
Well, maybe the physical violence never came my way because one time out on the playground, a kid came up behind me and grabbed my neck. I panicked and elbowed the kid in the nose, completely crushing it. Last I saw him (a year ago) he's quite homely because of it...and is now a black belt in Tae Kwon Do. |

| I was very fortunate in high school.. For some reason a few of the football players took a liking to me.. I fixed their computers and showed them how to find porn sites (websites were a new novelty back then), and they made sure nobody ever gave me any trouble. |

It's not the football players that bother me (a lot of them are my friends who I've had various classes with), but it's pretty much people who play other sports or who are well-liked by everyone else who give me a hard time. _________________ Itaque incipet.

The people who give me a hard time are never the popular sort.
Mostly, the people who harass me are unpopular and have issues of their won. When they harass me they do so in small, verbal ways that I never take seriously, because, quite frankly, it's obvious that they don't know what they're talking about. |

I was never bullied in school, but I was ignored. At times that seemed to be more difficult, but now I feel lucky that I wasn't bullied.

I have noticed that, too. In my experience, bullies are very likely to have serious social problems and tend to be even lower-functioning than the people they bully. |

| I was bullied in school but that turned my into the killing machine I am today. The experience made me go to the gym, lift weights, and study the secret arts of kung fu which I now utilise as essential weapons in my life as a superhero. |

I've always been bullied. people just don't like me in general. I was reading a comic the other day, and the girl is at a party. she hangs back with another friend, and the other girl says "people don't like people who don't know how to be social." I felt so sad. _________________ My Bunny will *eet* your bunny for brekfist!

I say odd things (or so it is often said) people say I bore them with talking about bands nobody cares about. I was picked on by my english teacher, and when I was in year seven people threw stones at me and called me 'mumblin' Sam the tramp' or just plain 'mumblin'.
I guess this isn't bullying sometimes without trying to be funny I make people laugh and that used annoy me. Though I'm seeing that in a positive light now.
People have always seen me as odd so in some form or other I was bullied.
People yell things at me in the street and some of the people a little older beep their horns at me-which I get startled at.
Though I guess I now have quite thick skin. |

| One time this girl and I were having an argument and she ended it by saying, "Well, at least I have a social life!" It made me feel queasy for some reason |

Don't let comments like that get to you, especially if you don't value broad social contact that much. |
