Yes, I like my heavy music. Australia has so many 'metal' bands to be proud of...

I like intense doom metal, epic funeral doom, some kinds of prog, black metal, some death metal, and also some folk.

Bands I adore are Agalloch (saw them mentioned earlier, they are a very beautiful band), Amen, Arkheth, At The Gates, Blut Aus Nord, Devin Townsend, Drudkh, Elysian Blaze, Finntroll, Ildjarn, Kampfar, Mournful Congregation, Stone Wings, Neurosis, Summoning, etc, etc. List goes on.

Booya i like metal too, but not soley metal (i.e romantic, classical, jazz, electronica, etc).
i love saying to people that i listen to metal, they are usualy shocked as i am a 17 yr old girl who doesn't dress like a "metalhead" or "gothish" etc.

most of the metal i like is thrash, old school, some black/ death and yeah

I saw SLAYER when they came to Australia this year.

I would have to say highlight of my year...

Brisbane based.

Haven't heard those bands, sorry. I'm very much into finding new sources for awesome tunes though, and should look them up...

..Everyone seems to have a Myspace these days.

What's your fave work from Agalloch? I have to say, The Mantle is gorgeous. ^_^

I'm very much into metal - melodeath, doom, progressive and plain old heavy primarily. Also into some thrash, death, black, technical death, folk and viking - I've given most genres a go, though out of the ones I like less there's only a few bands I listen to on a regular basis - others are more sporadic listens, but when I'm in the mood... well, things are much more enjoyable.

At the moment I'm exploring drone, ambient, electronic, industrial and other, more popular genres - I want even more variety in my music. Unfortunately, said exploration is taking a while.

Former metalhead, although everyone needs a good song to headbang to. I'm into nu-metal, and some of the real stuff as well.

And stuff like QWERTY. It's a track by Linkin Park, and it's a bit like Bleed It Out.

those bands are just local ones i thought you may have heard of. they're quite different to the ones mentioned in your other post though.

and agalloch; hmmmm.., I honestly like every song Ive heard by them. I couldn't pick an album but I am the wooden doors, in the shadow of our pale companion, not unlike the waves and kneel to the cross on the wall are my favourite tracks.
and the lyrical quality is just spectacular
