And just an FYI: Most people join that site just to take the quizzes. Of which there are like a billion. (exaggeration) _________________ When in trouble or in doubt; run in circles scream and shout. |

| I like this test better than the other one; it's shorter. And a score of 7 for me. |

Your Score: Maybe
Result: 38. Your score isn't an achievement, it just is.
Psychologist Simon Baron-Cohen and his colleagues at Cambridge's Autism Research Centre have created the Autism-Spectrum Quotient, or AQ, as a measure of the extent of autistic traits in adults. In the first major trial using the test, the average score in the control group was 16.4. Eighty percent of those diagnosed with autism or a related disorder scored 32 or higher. The test is not a means for making a diagnosis, however, and many who score above 32 and even meet the diagnostic criteria for mild autism or Asperger's report no difficulty functioning in their everyday lives. You scored 32 or above. Do with that what you will. _________________ “Hey, you have ten fingers, I have ten fingers, let's be friends. We'll make rules and slogans. 37,
I didn't register. I'm not so much of an aspie that I don't know my wife of 25 years wouldn't want me to join a dating site. |

I noticed it rather quickly also; it is Simon Baron-Cohen's Autism Quotient test.
But here is a site with not only that test, but some more of his tests; they reside in pages that will never time out on you.
Autism/Asperger-Related Tests
AQ: Autism Quotient How close to autistic are you?
Max: 50 (strongly = slightly)
Asperger's 31 - 45
Normal m 12 - 26
Normal f 11 - 23
EQ: Empathy Quotient How sensitive to others' emotions are you?
Max: 80 (strongly = 2*slightly)
Asperger's 9 - 33
Normal m 26 - 51
Normal f 37 - 59
FQ: Friendship Quotient How concerned are you with friendships and relationships?
Max: 135
Asperger's 35 - 78
Normal m 55 - 86
Normal f 74 - 106
SQ: System Quotient How systematic are you?
Max: 80 (strongly = 2*slightly)
Asperger's 20 - 52
Normal m 19 - 42
Normal f 15 - 34
It's taking these tests that has convinced me that I have Asperger's Syndrome; I fall within the AS range for all of them. |

I didn't want to become a member of the other web sight, so thanks for the link. I often get "your might have Aspergers' in these types of quizes.
AQ: 33
EQ: 14

For everyone's information there's a lot of interesting material at the Autism Research Centre website where these tests all originated: other tests, published papers etc..
Their Adult Asperger Assessment uses the AQ and EQ tests along with their extended version of DSM IV. _________________ It's not just what you're given: it's what you do with what you've got

I scored 30 so what does that mean. I am neither normal (female) or Aspie, but in some grey murky area in between. Lovely!
I keep getting borderline scores with whatever tests I try. I think Im going to start a thread for other borderliners. |

Okay, I'm glad the "official" tests were online, so I can see sort of what would happen if I went seeking a dx. But does anyone else feel that the SQ test is heavily skewed in favour of math/science AS? Because I'm sure I only scored in the normal range on that one because I don't like numbers or technology all that much, and have no interest in learning about them, beyond knowing that my computer/camera/whatever will work whenI turn it on. |
