THIS STUPID FIRE ALARM IS GOING OFF AGAIN... It Makes me so angry. It doesn't sound like the neighbouring apartment afterall. I can't tell where it is coming from. _________________

In the Towers residences at the university I go to, they get that sort of thing all the time... only because some selfish people had a smoke under a smoke alarm... _________________ We are one, we are strong... the more you hold us down, the more we press on - Creed, "What If"

My advice - stick cig butts in your ears to deaden it. Then try to go to sleep.... damn fire alarms. I once lived in a tower block with a centralised fire alarm system, so the ear splitting thing would go off in EVERY FLAT every time some little toad triggered it... I solved that problem by sticking an oven glove over the siren. Still annoying but less brain dissolving. |

Ours used to go off whenever someone took a hot shower and didn't open the window. _________________ "I was made to love magic, all its wonder to know, but you all lost that magic many many years ago."

mp3 player with noise cancelling headphones.
i bought cheap ones ($50), but they cancel out most stuff - even without the music on.
Edit: Oh - also, if it is a siren sound you can harmonize with it and evolve that sound into a cancelling sound (like making white noise). If its intermittent noise, sue the building owner for psychological distress and torture. _________________ Raised by Wolves

you have found a brand of headphones that ACTUALLY WORK?!?!?! I've been looking for them forever! Aww, and there was I all ready to generously give WooYay a nice new set of burst eardrums: the gift that keeps on giving! _________________ ...though fire may burn & flames envelop me, I will arise from the ashes... |

My apartment is pretty damn small and I have a better sense of smell than the fire alarm. So I don't even bother to replace the batteries. _________________ Autism Speaks: The Walmart of the 501c's.

There was an SNL skit on Saturday advertising songs for Fire Alarms.
If it were me, I would choose the most annoying song in the world to wake me up.

It was exactly the same time. It stopped exactly the same time too.
I bet it will do the same tonight. I am gonna don my ninja uniform and do some investigation if it happens again tonight. If I can figure out where it is coming from I can report it to someone somewhere... _________________

We used to have an alarm go off at the same time every week during a Sociology lecture! _________________ ...though fire may burn & flames envelop me, I will arise from the ashes... |
