the band that gave me my name here I heard yesterday they are coming to my city in April and I am going (its my birthday present) I've already gotten to see the great Dennis Deyoung formally of Styx in concert
(he left in 1999)
originally it was
Dennis DeYoung-vocals/keyboards
James Young-vocals/guitar
Tommy Shaw-vocals/guitar
Chuck Panozzo-bass
John Panozzo-drums
though now its
Laurence Gowan-vocals/keyboards
James Young-vocals/guitar
Tommy Shaw-vocals/guitar
Ricky Phillips-bass/guitar*
Todd Sucherman-drums
Chuck Panozzo-bass*
(Chuck left the band in 1998 after getting AIDS, but recovered and turns up sometimes-when that happens Ricky Phillips goes on 3rd guitar, John Panozzo died in 1996, and was replaced though not forgotten)
But it should still be a treat-even if they don't play some of the songs I love...(Babe, Mr. Roboto, etc)
(Styx 1981)
left to right
John Panozzo, James Young, Tommy Shaw, Chuck Panozzo and Dennis DeYoung
Styx now
left to right
James Young, Laurence Gowan, Todd Sucherman, Tommy Shaw, Ricky Phillips, Chuck Panozzo
well that's my "rant"

The guy in the bottom right with the glasses doesn't really seem to fit in... he lacks hair compared to the rest of them.
Boy, that was random.

I'm just wondering why they're posed out behind the grocery store?
not making the big time anymore? playing those 'other' venues? lol
I was a big fan of Styxx back in the day _________________ fides solus
