The software on the site really has some serious issues.
It's unusable by a large proportion of people.
I can use it, but it's just painful.
Just out of interest, I emailed a "link" to myself - the email came through twice, but with no link in either copy.
The "print" option only allows five pages at a time.
The "Options" allow you to un-tick "Page Animations". It doesn't work. The pages still animate. _________________ new, adj. Different colour from previous model.

Do you know if they intend to make the magazine available in any non-online fashion? If they did, I would probably read it regularly.
Other than reading the article on you (as you've provided above, in a format that's convenient offline), I doubt I'll work up the energy/persistence/tolerance to read the rest of even that one issue online. _________________ new, adj. Different colour from previous model.

Do you have access to a printer?
There's 9 pages of article text so you could just print it (11 for the whole document w/ cover).
They used to be a print magazine. Now they are only going to do online issues. |

Once fully in, it has all these clever graphical page-turning effects. I find it abysmal. So much so, that I can't get up the effort to read any more of the magazine beyond the article on Alex. Even that was a struggle, with all the "pretty" effects. |
I had to turn off my firewall and use the Windows firewall to get it to work. |

Most Awesome. Thank you! :-)
I wanted to read the article, but from what people were saying about the online version, I was about ready to just blow it off -- my poor little dialup modem is harried enough as it is. Now I've read it, and am very glad I did.
Kudos, on a great article, and on all your work, here and elsewhere! |
