Wow, there is a lot of awesome stuff coming out of this wrong planet Very Happy

I'm getting a label going sometime in the next year or so and I will try get us all on there, afterall though I may play metal/prog-rock I'm into almost every style of music, done well, and we seem to have quite high quality output so far, I haven't heard everything yet but I'm going to.

I've finally got the drums worked out (programmed) but the guitar input is still incoming.

I've been mixing for too long but I'm sick of electronic stuff, its just not me, hints of it in every song thanks to what I've learned but the entirely electro stuff is just a side-project.

Keep posting everyone awesome stuff!

Here is a song Im working on. Messing with Glitchy effects cos Im going through an indietronica phase. There is supposed to be vocals and more melody but I thought Id round up a demo before I lose interest (I normally do with most songs).

Song consists of samples from mouse clicks (hence the title) and tapping on tables.

Hope you like it - http://www.box.net/shared/24fif5tusw

Here's where I'm at, I've got 2 tracks in the making right now and I'm really letting em slow-cook. Reason being, I want the production quality to be there - no steps backward. They both have really good melodic ideas I think (one of them especially which will probably be the later of the two that I'll release) and they both need technicals to match the sound; otherwise it almost feels like I'm wasting good ideas in a way.

There are still a few things that I think are lacking a little. Last night though I'd been working on the fine details, velocities, etc. for about the third night in a row - don't know if I was just in a funk but I wanted to get it off the table and post it just because I was sick of trying to shore up angles that I just don't have the expertise to follow through on. The bass line's just repetition (bothers me if I actually focus on it), there's at least a few pretty bare spots that I wanted to add some kind of exciter or attention grabber but I couldn't think of anything that would accent the flow well (which is a real challenge when you have a track almost done, almost anything can either add too much, too little, or the wrong thing). Still yeah, I am at least pretty happy about the overall ambiance of it and the way that came out.

BTW, look forward to seeing more of your stuff on here when your artistic side starts getting the spare time again Smile.

Good taste in melodic ideas, just practice the vocal modulations a bit and you should be set.

i don't know whether i really control that actually
i seem to be taken by something and later by something else, for the moment i'm much into making my computer doing what i'd like it to do and preparing my paintings for some online selling or so, just don't know it exactly.
(and real life of course, work, kids and house chores and stuff)
if that all works out fine, i might go back to creating some tracks.

i have this joke with a friend of mine, that i'll bring out music when i'm 80 (heavy dark electronical music of course Wink )

Star Star Star Star Star!!!!

I'm seriously impressed - I'd put that on cd and roll in my car to it. If you could find some real good female vocalists to go with those tech/trip-hop beats (even here) that would be seriously sick. Good blend too by the way, its got a trip-hop mood but its liquid, metallic, and acid enough to work at a rave.
