Well, I fought with my friends. No, I sent them a letter saying I didn't want to be their friend anymore... but I still consider them my friends (for myself).

The situation is that I feel absolutely sad, but I can't cry. Doesn't matter how hard I try, how much I think about that, I'm not able to cry. When my grandpa died, I couldn't cry either, and I felt sort of bad because I wasn't as sad as you're supposed to be when your grandpa dies, and that has happened to me a looot of times...

But when someone yells at me, or when I lost my discman, or when I can't brush my hair, I do cry, I cry a lot. Has this happened to you? like, you cryfor things that aren't "important" or "serious", but when something "serious" or "important" happens, you just don't feel like crying??

If you're asking about the crying thing, then all the time. There's many sad things that I should've cryed about but never could.

I went through that phase when I was 10 and 11 and 12.

June 15, 1990 - I'm moving the grass in the backyard with the rider lawnmower and I accidently ran over a 1/2 inch thick maple sapling, cutting through it, but not cutting it off. I bawled for ten minutes straight while I ran back to the house to grab the pruning spray and masking tape to try and fix the tree so it wouldn't die completely.

July 18, 1991 - about 5:20 or so in the afternoon I'm watching cartoons on channel 32. There showing this ( http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0042584/ ) cartoon. My mom is off to taco bell to get grub. I'm alone watching this cartoon. As it progresses, the cat in the cartoon is made to believe he's just died by two devilish mice who want to be rid of him. They tie a ballon up to him and he floats out a window to "cat heaven". OMG I was crying for a good part of the rest of the evening. I could not believe how hard I cried over a cartoon

March 2, 1992 - I'm in our basement playing Super Mario Bros 3 on NES. I finally figure out the two whistle dealy to fast track my way to level 8. The sights and sounds of level 8 I can't deal with, and I once again find myself in a heap of tears for seemingly no reason at all. I had to turn off the TV and go upstairs to my room to recover.

I have deffinitly cryed for stupid reasons. I find it's more because of PMS then anything else though. I cried everyday this past week, for absolutly no reason. I wish I wasnt so sensitve sometimes :l Theres also been times most ppl would concider something sad, and I didn't feel a thing. Besides death, most sad things dont bother me. Sadness is a very confusing emotion.

I used to cry if I was getting told off by teachers often. When I recently went to a friends party it became a bit too much, and I went for a walk then I began to cry.

The cafeteria at my middle school was much bigger and louder than the one at my elementary school. In 5th grade, lunch period was always such a stress on me to the point where I didn't have an appetite. But it was a rule at my school that you had to eat at least SOMETHING during lunch period nomatter what. I cried alot then. But by 6th grade I had finally adjusted to it.

Although over the years I've learned to completely control that particular function, it is for the strangest things that I feel the urge. Sometimes a song or watching my daughter sleep. The whole death thing has always puzzled me. I've learned now how I'm supposed to act, but I really don't feel any sort of emotion. I understand that NT's get very emotional about death, so I try not to let my indifference show. I was once told by a preacher that when you visit the family at a funeral, for the most part its best if you don't actually say anything. They just want you to be there, literally. I can do that!

I used to fight with firends alot when I was younger but never really cried.

I cry basically when sh*t builds up and makes me crack, like the other week a kitchen hand told me I hardly talk and I just lost it.

i haven't been able to cry properly since i had the year from hell in 2003, and had to blank everything out just to survive. and i'd never managed to express my feelings in that way particularly well before that - i've only really cried properly once, and that was in a rather unusual circumstance.

i know it's not healthy. but i wonder if i actually can anymore.

I don't cry over major stuff that happens, and I've never really been able to. However, I do cry over trivial things occasionally, like if I cannot find stuff I want. I also kind of almost lost it when one of the teachers at my school (not one of mine) asked me to stop clicking my pen the other day.

I think that it's an integral part of AS.
We're not very outwardly emotional, but very weak emotionally.
Therefore, in my experience at least we can break down from stress, frustration, and depression, but not from grief.

I have that happen with deaths. Not human deaths mind, then I just get depressed.
When my budgie died I cried immediately, then again several times later.
When my mean lovebird killed the sweet one the reaction was delayed (though I'd only had these lovebirds six days, I'd come to love little Rasp)
Same with when my father accidentally poisoned his cockatiel (she hated me, but I love birds all the same. Except pelicans of course, and vultures)
I have to to get depressed before I succumb to grief, which I suppose could also been seen as the neurotypical denial-griefness. Except that I'm always in state of denial.

My pillow is always damp with tears....

seriously though. I struggle to cry. Something has to be really life changing.
