Okay, I've been noticing a lot of hating on anime fans.
I'm just writing to say that I'm not a perverted hentai freak or some geek who has to dress up like Goku to feel cool.
As a writer I appreciate good stories, something that anime seems to provide, unlike the corporate s$%t that Americans seem to eat up. The most cosplaying I've ever done is showing up at Fanime-con 2005 with a cheap pokemon hat I got in Mexico. I think hentai is disturbing and gross. And the only time I'll actually look at yaoi is if its the only way to fit in with some fangirls. In general, it seems a lot of people are just misinformed about anime and they only judge it based on the fans. True, some fans are nutty, but I distance myself from them. I consider myself an otaku, but a reasonable, practical one. I don't hate Futurama, Simpsons, South Park, or Family Guy, they're all great shows, but if I want a really good story, I look to anime. The only real American dram show I've watched is Lost, which I watch solely for its similarities to anime. I urge reasonable anime fans to stand up to stereotyping.

Same here because I watch for laughs and enjoyment. Cool

You can just go online and watch it of youtube or something. Its okay to not like anime, but I'm just pissed at people who bash it solely because they saw a cosplayer or something or some yaoi.

btw doesn't Australia ban pretty much anything with sex and violence
cough* GTA hot coffee cough*

I can't watch stuff online, the internet is too slow.

No, Australia bans anything offensive.

It all depends, I'm just in general responding to hating by people who are given a bad impression.

This chart should clear up any confusion.

My friend actually talked to a furry. The dude went on to explain in detail what his deal is, and it still didn't make any logical sense! Sheesh! Mad

it is, but when they start getting weird, watch out! Shocked
Yaoi fan fic writers are the worst. If you see one that puts themselves in the story, run away immediately!
I once knew a yaoi fangirl who turned in one of her fan fics for a creative writing assignment Confused

An online friend of mine loves yaoi.

She and I even had a yaoi role-play, with our own characters.

I'm not as interested in yaoi as she is.

I prefer reading about it, not seeing it.

I went on 4chan once, looked at yaoi, and felt sick. XD
