Let's just say that you had a power to make an average person either good looking or with a great personality. What would you choose? What is your crush like? Cool? Beautiful? Funny? What would you choose?

Ron White (Comedy Central) says marry a smart woman. Cosmetic surgery today can fix almost any physical flaw, but "you can't fix stupid."

Seriously thogh, I look for balance. Extreme beauty, like extreme wealth, wrecks a person's personality. A great personality (hypersocial?)... well, I think I'd prefer someone who is a little more devoted to me than the masses.

A balance between the 2 is generally the best, but I would like someone who would understand me.

Personality is definitely much more important. What good is being with someone that is absolutely gorgeous to look at if you can't stand talking to them or being around them for more than 5 minutes?

I think it is best to try to go for middle ground, if you meet someone and there is some initial attraction and the two of you get along ok and like each other, then you move forward from that point and see what happens. You have to take into consideration not only what you want from them, but what you bring to the relationship as well. Hopefully you bring something equally as desirable to them.

I go for personality and intelligence... any physical deformity doesn't really bug me (use of her arms is preferable, but not required), and the only other requirement I have is that she weighs less than 260 pounds (which is what I weigh), so that I can at least get my arms around her...

But all the important criteria are those of the mind...

Shouldn't interests be factored in as well?

Yes. Interests are important too. I put that under personality though.

I choose personality. I wouldn't say I'm picky about looks, or that I'd go for a guy that totaly turn me off. Better to have someone imperfect on the outside with nice attitude within, then the opposite (good looks on the outside, with a sinister core). I mean, which type would realy hurt in the long run

Personally, if you REALLY want to find a great partner, you got to go beyond the scope of looks and personality, although that is somewhat theoritical on my part. There are plenty of nice looking girls with a good personality, but if nothing else clicks, nothing will probably happen in the first place.

If I had to choose though, as long as they look fairly pretty, I'll take personality. Makes my job easier and more comfortable overall.

I care about personality more, but when it comes to looks, I only personally like girls with either brown or blonde hair, not crazy styled green hair etc. XD
