Aww... that sucks. I'm sorry. It looks like we were wrong.

Weird.

Do you think the drawing was supposed to be some kind of joke or insult then? I wonder what you were supposed to "get"?

No, I asked her to draw me it. It didn't mean anything; the only peculiar thing about it was the heart.

Yeah, that's what I mean. I wonder what you were supposed to "get" about the heart.

Then she shouldn't have said, ""I was just wondering if you get it man." Razz

Here's hoping your next love interest is easier to read! Smile

Something does not add up here. What type of messages did you send her recently? She seemed keen to communicate with you until the last few days.

About a week ago I posted on her Wall several times if she wanted to go to a movie or a coffee shop. Finally, I got fed up with her not answering so yesterday I directly asked her if she wanted to go on a date, and she said she wasn;t "looking for that."

Well, I'm sorry, I can't explain that. We were all positive that this was it for you. Well, something still doesn't add up. Not to give you false hope, but just leave her alone for now. I think that it's still possible that she likes you, but is a little freaked. Maybe she is simply surprised that you finally responded to her overtures. I think that she might change her mind about dating you if you give her some space and let her sort it out.

Perhaps there was no overtures to begin with. When I asked her out I did say that it was okay to give me a 'no' answer so she wouldn't feel pressured. Oh well, if she doesn't come around in the end I'll just have to move on. Thanks for all your input.

Well, you could send her just one more message explaining that you always liked her as a friend and after a time you felt that maybe she wanted more, but then apologize for being mistaken. Follow-up by asking if she still wants to be friends. If she truly had no romantic intentions, this lets her off the hook as it were. If she's confused or playing a game, this may help to clarify things for her. It's a can't lose final gambit that is good for all parties.

Just a thought.

It sounds like she was saying "Don't you get it? I want my drawing!". The weird thing is why she would want it back. Unless it was a really nice one, but you make it sound like little more than a sketch, so it's pretty weird.

The drawing contained a heart and a pencil sharpener.

So it seems she wanted to use you for your pencil sharpener. Unless you ask her what she meant by it you are never going to know for sure.

Just say 'No, I don't really know what you meant by that drawing now. Why don't you explain it to me?'

Also probably pm her rather than write it on her wall.

Also ask her what she means be that. ‘That’ might be sex in, which case you previous question about sex is answered. Or it could mean the opposite not a relationship just sex.

Just make it clear that she is being too ambiguous and to fill you in.

If she is not going be more descriptive then chances are she was messing with you, in which case I wouldn’t bother with her, just ignore her if she want to use your pencil sharpener again, etc.

Seriously though you guys were being a bit to optimistic. She already told him that she wasn't interested. He said he asked her if she would like to hang out and she replied with the picture stuff. That right there was a firm no to hanging out or dating. Girls are much more direct than that.
