I'm watching the episode "Lines in the Sand" about the kid with autism and House is in an examination suite giving some 17 y.o. HOTNESS an exam and she's making all kinds of overt signals to him that screams "take me now you scruffy, uncouth man!" but he being him dismisses it.
OMG! I would have been ALL OVER THAT! Probably why I'm not a doctor.

That's offensive. Am I an idiot too because I didn't pick up those signals either? I have AS. Yeah that's right, aspies are idiots.

That's kind of a good point.  I would DEFINITELY want to be ALL OVER THAT if I were him, but sadly i am immune to signals and afraid of getting in trouble. |

Dr. House certainly isn't an idiot - just for turning down the advances of a hottie like that. Nor are any people here idiots.

Besides, Dr. House was established not to have Asperger's in that episode.

| Maybe House is past the stage of wanting to have sex just for sex? But I dunno, he jokes about it; he just doesnt seem like the type to bed hop or act on it. Maybe he doesnt need a masochist per se, it seems like he needs someone who is sarcastic and can call him out sometimes. Seems to me like he likes a hot woman with a keen mind who isnt afraid of him? |

Excuse me, but House is a fictional character, and one that is not too well drawn. I know what the publicity people say, but I, for one, wouldn't class him as someone with Aspergers or Autisim. He's just a disagreeable person.

has anyone even broached the subject that it would be HIGHLY UNPROFESSIONAL as well as GROUNDS FOR A EXTREMELY EXPENSIVE LAWSUIT had our erstwhile doctor even attempted such a breach of patient/doctor ethics?

I tell ya. My first impulse when I recognize a minor sufficiently immature that I can take advantage of her is "BOINK!"
In New Jersey, I believe she would've been legal (except wherein you occupy a position of power, you can legally copulate with someone of 16+ years of age so long as you don't need to cross state borders, IIRC).
