Has anyone heard of Juvenile Xanthogranuloma?

It is a blood disorder where white blood cells attack the organs, such as the spinal chord, skin, and digestive track. My son (18 months old) was diagnosed with it because of a spot on his back and some increased white blood cell levels in his stomach. Evidently it is a 1 in 200,000 kind of diagnosis.

The reason I bring it up is that the doctor said it might explain some of his ASD-like characteristics as well as medical issues, such as hypersensitivity to gluten, casein, lactose, and other complex carbohydrates. They make him sick and "fog" his mind, making him draw inward.
