Do you want to be put inside a casket, stink, get rotten and turn yourself into worms' food?

Do you want to be put inside a 1600 Fº oven, turn into ashes and have your ashes thrown at sea / buried / stored by your family?

Or do you want simply to be left lying at some place to feed the birds?

I prefer the second option. I hate worms, so I'd like to turn into ashes instead of feeding those a**holes with my delicious beef.

Isn't there already a topic somewhere that asks this?

I would definitely like to be cremated. I don't care much for the worms eating my flesh, as I'll be dead, but the thought of flames consuming me when I'm gone is more appealing.

Edit: I know some people who have already wrapped themselves in linen cloth. They just don't get they're supposed to stay in the ground. People risen from the dead and lurking the streets can be very disconcerting.

That topic asks how would you like to die. Mine just asks how would you like to disappear after death. Laughing

I hope that there will be the option of

d) never to die

soon.

I can hope, right?

Alternatively, I hope for another decent method to get rid of my body after death. I'm paranoid about being burned alive. Or by knowing a coffin will break and smash my body, as coffins usually do by improper care/too much earth on it.

Really, I think the safest method is becoming immortal.

give me to the birds and other carrion; i'd hate to be burnt away like in a cremation. I've eaten enough animals, and so I'll return the favour. Circle of life and all the hippy stuff.

You might also wish for a body that never ages, breaks down, gets injured, etc.
It's not just getting older numerically, it's getting older physically.
If you can reach the age of 200, it might not be so nice if your body has deteriorated to a point you can no longer enjoy life.
That's what is happening with all the older folks now-a-days.
I see so many just in their 60's and 70's who are debilitated to the point they cannot do a thing for themselves.
What kind of like is that!?

I'd want to be buried outside in the open, but since that is not going to happen unless I can find a remote place to lie down and pass away and remain out of human sight for months, I'd rather just be cremated.

On second though the gemstone would be pretty creepy and most likely too expensive.

Whatever method would be the least financial burden on my family.
I don't mind if whatever useful organs I have are harvested.
i just don't want to be pumped full of formaldahyde or anything else that might be harmful to others or the environment....

Creamation, because it will be cheaper for my family. They might as well enjoy as much of my life insurance policy, as possible.

I think I'd make good fertilizer, so I'd rather be buried. Skull Maybe then if I can't be of much good in this world, I can maybe make something else pretty. Laughing
