You know what I think? I think autism is caused by Mercury. . .in retrograde. I mean, there's gotta be some reason my interest in neurology, and my social inadequacies, suddenly spiked during this terrible astrological season.

Next week, I will publish a list of 23 reasons that prove shoelaces are the sole cause of autism.

For starters, though, bear in mind that no study has been published that categorically proves, without a shadow of a doubt, that shoelaces are not the cause of autism.

I will invent some studies that substantiate each of my 23 reasons. I will, of course, construct a website where you can look them all up. In fact, I will construct a whole set of websites, using a slightly different style on each, all of which refer to each other. Naturally, none of the links will point anywhere that is remotely credible.

As was pointed out elsewhere, over 95% of children in the Western world have been vaccinated, and less than one percent of children are autistic. Therefore, vaccines cause normalcy!

Ah, but autistic people still have unusual proximity to Mercury.

When I'm in the mood, it can be quite a mercurial one. Biscuit?

I guess that puts the popularity of Queen on the list of potential causes.
