By next year there will be greeting cards for this day from Tarjay or something, as well as increase sales in Legos and Rubicks Cubes as those seem to be the steryotype interest of autism. _________________ You are not submitting the post

Wonderful! Fantastic! Brilliant!

We can't let that happen. We need to fill the airwaves with positive messages.
Make positive Youtube videos .... there are heaps of lovely, positive Youtube videos .... keep making them.
Or write the newspapers/television stations/your local member.

My entire family is bongo about Autism Awareness Day and the entire month of April. We have lots planned for Wednesday, we're going to be checking out some of the programs, got stuff to do in the community and school.
As a parent, I am proud of the focus. And, I've said it many times on this board, it's a new day for Autism. IT IS A NEW DAY FOR AUTISM! Awarness means more money, more support, more research, more programs, more advocacy, more therapies, more treatment options, more insurance coverage, more school options, more respect for our children and adults who are living on the spectrum.
April 2nd is a great day and as a parent raising an Autistic kid, I am honored that this country is taking the time to make it center stage. |

I hope that doesn't translate it "Cure Autism Now!".
That'd be the negative.
The positive: more education and awareness. Possibly one less person looking at you like you have two heads! (ok, so that might take longer...)
I finally get an excuse to wear my autism shirt to somewhere else besides the airport! Yeah! _________________ "Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—
