[rant]No, I don't mean in RL. I mean here. It seems as if whenever I post, no one seems to notice it and goes right on replying to someone else. This isn't the only forum that happens at either. But it's been happening here the longest. And whenever I see those particular member appreciation threads and if they're gone for a day or two, those where's such-and-such member gone threads, I feel very annoyed and jealous by it. Unlike a lot of people here, I love having attention for myself. I'm a very social and outgoing person, but I'm just sick of being ignored constantly! I already have nothing to do here at my house as it is. The least anyone could do is talk to me every now and again or something. And seriously, if we're going to have threads for a specific number, does it ever occur to any of you that others feel left it? It's sort of like back in grade school where someone passes out birthday party invitations to everyone in class but you. Yeah, that's how I feel.[/rant] _________________ "We got the feet back!"- Ruth Cole, 'The Door in the Floor' |

I've noticed that about some of my posts too. There are a couple of people that respond to mine specifically, but I'm mostly ignored. I doubt anyone would miss me if I were gone for a day or two. I'll keep a look out for your posts and if you ever well ignored, you can PM me and we'll talk, ok? _________________ Our greatest glory is not in never falling but in rising every time we fall.

I'll talk to you if you want.
I think a lot of people feel ignored on message boards, you're not the only one. Those member appreciation threads usually annoy me, too. _________________ Oh say, can you see? Everyone is dumb but me. I'm never ever wrong, and that's all you'll ever be. |

Thanks, guys.
Yeah, the worst of it is those member appreciation threads. Never, ever once on any forum, have I ever gotten one of those. It's not like I'm mean to anyone or anything here. I'm just so sick of feeling left out of everything. _________________ "We got the feet back!"- Ruth Cole, 'The Door in the Floor' |

I don't think anyone purposefully ignores anyone specifically, but sometimes people just don't want to reply or have nothing to say.
You know you are ASD when you are the #1 poster on board and very few even know who you are...
You have thrown me with your change of avatar. If somebody changes their avatar it is like they are a different person. It can take some getting use to.

Appreciation thread eh? why on earth would you want something like that? They are in minority and don't happen very often. Most people haven't had them.
I understand you are in need of an ego boost but have some humility. |

I know. It's just that sometimes, whenever I give some really great and wise advice and stuff like that, it just really makes me mad that people totally ignore it and reply to something silly that someone says in the post right after mine. That's been one of the things that's bugging me lately.
Well, after a year or so of having Lola for my avatar, I thought I could use a change. I'm keeping my Petunia one for a while though. _________________ "We got the feet back!"- Ruth Cole, 'The Door in the Floor' |

I've been ignored to the point that I'm convinced that I am a natural born ninja!
I can walk into a room full of people and not one of them will ever know I'm there. Can you imagine the power I have over those people, I could do just about anything I want to them.
I too have given advice that I thought was the best I've ever given only to find that it has gone unread. _________________ Our greatest glory is not in never falling but in rising every time we fall.

Oh no, don't feel ignored, I think on such a large board it is impossible to always answer everyone individually all the time.
There are many posts that make me smile or I sit here and nod in agreement to, but I don't always say anything. I probably think they can see me |

If I'm out and about, I'm not really ignored to much. I only just started recently been going back to school again (It's a long story!) and everyone was happy to see me. But that's just at school. Around my house and stuff, there's not really much to do and I'm home alone every day all week, except for weekends. And when my mom's here, it's pretty much the same as her being gone anyway as all she wants to do is play with the dogs. _________________ "We got the feet back!"- Ruth Cole, 'The Door in the Floor' |

It's just that it happens so often to me. And today's the day where I just couldn't take it anymore. Sometimes it's like no one even bothers to read my posts... _________________ "We got the feet back!"- Ruth Cole, 'The Door in the Floor' |

I get ignored when I make a good post frequently. Some of my stupidest posts get responded to, though.
There are some people who actually started their own appreciation thread. Those I didn't mind so much.
I was surprised that you changed your avatar to Petunia. That didn't seem to me like your type of show, but what do I know? _________________ Oh say, can you see? Everyone is dumb but me. I'm never ever wrong, and that's all you'll ever be. |

Yeah, I know exactly what you mean.
Yeah, if they start their own, they aren't so bad. But if someone starts it for another member (and it's already been done as it is), that really takes the cake for me.
You'd be surprised at what I watch sometimes. In the same day last year, I watched a Pooh Bear movie and then went to see the new 'Halloween' movie right after that! lol But yeah, 'Happy Tree Friends' is what I'm totally into right now. But I still love 'Charlie and Lola'! _________________ "We got the feet back!"- Ruth Cole, 'The Door in the Floor' |

Ignoramous topic
Same happens to me, unless I post something with a flaw in the logic (I am human, too, I make mistakes). Let us start THE MOST IGNORED POSTER THREAD, or else call it IGNORE THIS THREAD. If you do this, they will come. _________________ Radical Aspergian

That must bring out the oppositional aspect of ASDs. |
