I love "In the Year 2000!" Especially now that it's almost been a decade since 2000!

It seems most people here (including me) like Conan better, but watch Leno for the Headlines. (which reminds me--it's Monday night! Gotta tune in!)

I find that Jay Leno is too mean of a guy. He loves to humiliate and say really rude personal things to people when he talks to them (do you guys notice this?). The only reason why Jay Leno is watched by so many people is because he can appeal to right-wingers and left-wingers. I highly doubt that many right-wingers ever tune into Conan. He definitely doesn't have a conservative sense of humor like Jay Leno does. As stupid as a lot of Conan's jokes appear to be, they really aren't pulled off stupidly. They have a substance to them which appeals to me. Jay Leno's jokes are all written for him (same goes for Conan) but Jay Leno doesn't even add any kind of life or substance to his jokes. All what Jay Leno is is a conservative-minded puppet who is told what to do.

I despise any comedian who tries to get laughs by humiliating someone. I really get angry at the comedian and also at the audience for laughing. Another thing I hate that I often see in comedy is when a certain ethnic group or culture of people is portrayed in a derogatory way on the screen. Why is this allowed and why do people laugh at this? You wouldn't laugh if you heard someone calling a black person a "nigger" would you? Me being half French and growing up and seeing so much comedy portraying the French in a derogatory way made me feel sort of like an outcast. It really hurt my self image as a kid. I think that I got bugged for being French partially because of these stupid comedy programs that my schoolmates were watching on TV. To be honest with you, I truly think that it's some of these stupid comedy shows that are making society hate certain cultures/races. Most of society feels like if they see something on TV, they should act like the people they are watching and share the same beliefs. They are too narrow-minded to decide for themselves what is right or wrong.

Conan even more now because of the recent grand theft auto jokes.

I like Jay, but none of them even come close to comparing to Johnny Carson. Cool

"Headlines" is better on Leno's show, but I really enjoy Conan's bizzarro-humor.

And that guy who works on Late Night, who was interviewed by Conan during the writers' strike was cool.
The one who could handle a whip. Do you know whom I'm talking about? Do you think he was cool?

I heard, after Conan takes Leno's spot. NBC is gonna get Jimmy Fallon to take over Conan's spot. Dumb idea, I know

Both Conan and Leno are annoying. Conan is funny, but not as funny as he thinks he is. Leno is just plain irritiating, he's so smarmy and mean, and it seems like at any time, any second from now, he's going to offer the audience a used car to sell Smile

Craig Ferguson, now that dude's funny. And he seems so genuine as a person, too. His monologues are the best because they actually have some plot and content behind them - he tells a story, almost - everyone else just has a series of unrelated jokes as their monologue.

For example, a non-comedic reason I like Craig because - besides a couple of lighthearted jokes - when Britney Spears was going through whatever she was going through a couple months ago, he took it seriously and didn't kick her when she was down (and when he mentioned this, he implied how cruel all the other talk show hosts were by doing so, which was true)

(though Craig's monologues are scripted, I read that in an article about him. However he writes a very large amount of them himself, and sometimes ad-libs when things go wrong - and he has a wonderful delivery, so it seems like it's all so spontaneous)

I like the late-late show,it's just funny on how he can just ramble for a while.
