When you were kids, did you line things up into rows? When I was going to counseling services at the UWO back in september when they were trying to figure out if I had aspergers, they gave me a long list of questions to ask my parents. One of them was "did you line things up as a kid" Mom said I did, but she couldn't remember any specific examples. Well, I think I've found an example My parents got those shell from disney world back in 1978. I was the only one who ever played with them. _________________ I live my life to prove wrong those who said I couldn't make it in life...

I don't remember doing things like that, but I like puting small things over each other, and I do it quite often.

Yes i did, and still do it. I like symetry, order. I have the urge to place evrything in an organized manner. In line, or in many, same lenght, parallel lines.

I don't remember being especially prone to doing anything like that. Actually, as a kid, my room was notoriously messy because I just left things scattered around.

I was always terribly messy, but sometimes I liked to line thing up. I'd put my pencils in perfect rainbow order, and one time I lined a bunch of my mother's ceramic figurines up on a window ledge and she crushed them all by closing the window without looking.

I don't remember, but I kinda do that now. Not necessarily in rows, but I keep things organized. The clothes in my closet are hung according to sleeve length and weight: moving left to right, first jackets, then long sleeved sweaters, long sleeved shirts, short sleeved shirts, sleeveless shirts, then pants, skirts, short sleeved dresses, and finally long sleeved dresses. I have a select group of oft-worn favorites.

My music CD tower is organized from favorite (top) to least favorite (bottom). Same with the game CD tower by the computer. Hmmm... what else? I keep the kids' PlayStation games and videos organized by type and size (some videos come in cardboard cases, some in larger plastic cases - DO NOT mix them on the shelf, because then they don't look nice and even).

The decor around my home is arranged in precise positions on the walls and shelves. DO NOT move an item or I will notice and have to put it back EXACTLY WHERE IT BELONGS. Everything is aesthetically arranged and spaced for maximum viewing pleasure. Laughing

I don't remember my childhood very well, but we do have a photo of me sitting proudly in front of the refrigerator, with all of the magnets grouped and lined up by color. I recall lining up the toy horses in the library as a kid. As I got older, I enjoyed arranging and rearranging my books, and labelling them like they were part of a library. I still do it now, but it's more for the "feeling" of the books than by alphabetical listing. The subjects must relate in a way, and certain books can not be allowed to touch other ones. It's the same with my DVDs.

I do the same thing! The books on each shelf are arranged by height and size, the shelves grouped by subject. And when I was a kid I had all my books arranged and labeled as in a library.

It's odd....the creative writer side of me is extraordinarily cluttered, much resembling my eccentric mind. However, there are certain things that just have to be done. Beds must be made, pencils in pencil boxes must be in line according to length and width. Before taking any standardized test the only supplies I'm allowed to have are always lined up at the top of my desk. Books too are always in order. On my bookshelf it's alphabetical order by height and in my locker it's according to my class schedule. Even my messy backpack has order, all books being placed largest to smallest with the largest being furthest back. Whoa.....I didn't realize I did all of this stuff until just now when I typed it.....

I am an extremely messy and disorganised person. My room can get to the point where I can no longer see the floor. But I have the computer game The Sims, I never play with the people, I only build houses and organise the furniture.

I spend ages getting the house set up and the furniture in just the right place- then I'll play with the sims for a little bit before I get bored and start changing things round.
