What kinds of music do you guys listen to? Some of the artists and bands I'm currently listening to are Red Hot Chili Peppers, Rage Against the Machine, System of a Down, and Eminem.

Classical, particularly Debussy. I love to play classical music on the piano to. My favorite to play is "Le Petit Negre" by Debussy.

1950s and 60s oldies from all over the world, and traditional 1930s-40s style jazz. I like European oldies best. I have a favorite singer for each country.

I like that signature of yours, Chris! It has a hopeful ring to it.

By the way, I'm trying to obtain The Beatles' "Eleanor Rigby" right now. I remember hearing it before, and it appeals to me. I found the lyrics to this song, and it nearly made me cry:

Quote:

I look at all the lonely people.
I look at all the lonely people.

Elleanor Rigby
Picks up the rice in the church where her wedding has been;
Lives in a dream.
Waits at the window,
Wearing a face that she keeps in a jar by the door.
Who is it for?
All the lonely people, where do they all come from?
All the lonely people, where do they all belong?

Father MacKenzie
Writing the words of a sermon that no one will hear;
No one comes near.
Look at him working,
Nodding his socks in the night when there's nobody there.
What does he care?
All the lonely people, where do they all come from?
All the lonely people, where do they all belong?

I look at all the lonely people.
I look at all the lonely people.

Elleanor Rigby
Died in the church and was buried alone with her name.
Nobody came.
Father MacKenzie
Wiping the dirt from his hands as he walks from her grave.
No one was saved.
All the lonely people, where do they all come from?
All the lonely people, where do they all belong?

I have that song.

The lyrics are very sad indeed.

The production is annoying though. During the whole song, except for the chorus, the vocals are on the right channel, and the music on the left channel.

Mainly rock. Favourite band: Radiohead, duh Laughing

Current faves other than that:

Audioslave
Rage against the machine
Silent Hill music
Weezer
Red Hot Chilli Peppers
Nirvana

On the other hand, I absolutely despise:

Avril Lavigne,Hoobastank,Linkin Park, Evanensense and other superficial poser-rockers.
Anything by Britney Spears and her ilk.
Any music that is prepackaged and prefabricated by corporations basically...

No offense to those who are fans of those I listed, this is just my opinion. I am aware there are some Avril fans on this board. Nothing personal Smile

Old school rock like Lez Zep, Queen, Deep Purple, Pink floyd, the doors, U2, the rolling stones.

I don't like poser rockers either.

Yeah, like others, I like System Of A Down, Rage Against The Machine etc. Also you can't go wrong with bands like The Strokes & Kings of Leon.

Also I have a soft spot for Prince Embarassed .

Thanks! I made it up myself.

My sister is a big Beatles fan, as is my father.

I like rock, some techno, Keri Noble, and can't stand pop (the voice pitch annoys me, and the subject usually has no interest to me)
Some of my favorites bands:
-Rage Against The Machine
-30 Seconds to Mars
-Good Charlotte
-Green Day
-Maryiln Manson
-Keri Noble
