No, it is selfish idiots who cannot accept when they are wrong.

yeah you are right mark, does selfish idiots count as name calling? Does anyone realise it wans't about power? I just thought that some down to earth people could help out as mods, instead of computer nerds

I was not referring to you, but to certain banned members who made the attacks. But, as you clearly leapt to a conclusion...

This is where you told Quatermass: "God, your like talking to a brick wall!" and "You seem very immature for a moderator."
For some reason, two posts down, 2ukenkerl accuses Quatermass of being rude, which was not true. With that lack of understanding, I would say that he also had Buckley's chance of being invited to be a mod.
The subsequent post was you agreeing with this untrue statement, swearing, and then calling Quatermass "a bit of a jerk".
I'm amazed at how much abuse he has put up with from you.

Wrong! Go back and look again, but this time from a neutral point of view, instead of being biast, and sticking by your friend! First he said i'm not ready cause I had to ask, which is confusing, but fair enough. He then quoted from the beau guy and said "precisely", which is a bit childish. Then he said "keep going with that attitude, (what attitude??), and i'll never become a mod. Then using some riddle to say I have no chance, which again is petty and very childish. Next he was sarcatsic about not being able to "have his eyes stuck to the computer all the time". See you can be rude without being blatant, I can detect it. I was just being honest, and you guys don't like it. So I said he was like talking to a brick wall, you all seem to be that way Now your trying to provoke the situation by saying you can't believe how much he has put up with from me, I think its time you grow up!

This is my last post on this thread. I'll leave it to others to look at the start of the thread and make up their own minds whether Quatermass was guilty of any rudeness.

I have to keep repeating myself, thats why. Do I have to explain why he was rude again, or can someone read my last post? I can't be bothered to argue with any of you, just take note, and be alert if that troll guy returns.

Urgh, I'm having to stoop down to quote dicepting now...

benjimanbreeg wrote:

Uhm, sticking up for your friends is half what being a friend is all about. And I did, although I, nor you, have any proof we can give aside from giving our word.

benjimanbreeg wrote:

Yup, fair enough.

benjimanbreeg wrote:

That's not childish, that's agreeing by using just one word. Quoting without even replying is called Quoting for Truth, another form of agreeing on the internet.

benjimanbreeg wrote:

The 'attitude' he's mentioning is throwing things out of proportion like you are doing at the moment.

benjimanbreeg wrote:

What riddle? Is this the latin again?

benjimanbreeg wrote:

He wasn't being sarcastic. As I mentioned, we have the real world to get in the way, family, jobs, friends, eating, showering, internet not working, stuff like that.

benjimanbreeg wrote:

I suppose you being honest is good, however your detection methods, or instinct, or judgement, or spidey senses (*chuckle*, couldn't resist) must be a bit off at the moment.

benjimanbreeg wrote:

Both sides to this appear to be brick walls in that we will not budge from our point of view. Arguments like this are best left for both sides to forget and ignore, like lau just did.

Is this all about tubgirl still?

90 minutes before something is removed? OMFG THATS FOREVER...

Its the internet ffs. It was all but built around that tubgirl picture. Everyone and their mother has seen it, and if they havent, they eventually will. If that is the worst thing you ever see on the net then youre either damn lucky, or you have your eyes closed.

Starting threads about these things draws MORE attention to them.

DONT WHATEVER YOU DO LOOK AT THIS BAD THING EVER >>>>> ..... ITS SO WRONG IT BLINDS PUPPIES. thread...

I'll wager if I start that I'll get more views than THIS THREAD HAS BREASTS>

At the end of the day, if something offends thee.. stop looking at it. Couldn't be much more simple. If something offends thy children, monitor their internet access more.. they are YOUR children.. not the MODS children.

Tub girl is definitely not the worst to be shown on any forum, on the tech forums it was goatse, but real fun to shock the newbies, if these trolls are going to post stuff like this on WP, we may have the option of posting pictures taken away, as what happened on some of the forums I have been on. One solution would be having a certain amounts posts before a member is allowed to post pictures

Or as done on GameFAQs where you can only post so many words per day until you've stayed for a while.

The only people who can actually implement these ideas to curtail spam are Alex and MrMark. PM them if necessary.

And why can't you? I don't have a magical hotline. Just PM them with the ideas.

Heh, yeah I would be. That happens a lot when someone tries to drill the point in. Over on the Insomniac Games forums I see it going on a lot when people argue about consoles, or a game on two different consoles. Usually after the quote-dicepting stage the one who's quote was being dicepted attempts to redeem himself by quoting the dictionary(.com), by which it is then usually stated that what is meant by the dictionary is not the context of which the word(s) was made. At this point the one being quoted then just leaves the thread altogether. It's a rhythmic pattern and I see it at least once a month.
