Listen up. A sequel to EarthBound was released in Japan. ("Mother 3" for GBA) It never came to the States.

We need to make this the best-selling VC game of all-time. Maybe then Nintendo will consider hauling over the sequel

Mother 1 was originally planned for release in the States, under the name "Earth Bound". They even translated the game and everything. For some reason, the game was never released. I have the ROM file Very Happy

I'm not posting it here if there are rules against ROM discussion...

I saw this on the front page and suppose I should chime in with the typical disclaimer that Nintendo's Virtual Console has horrible DRM that locks it to a single console. There's no way to deauthorize one system so a new one can be authorized.

I'm not the biggest fan of Earthbound, but it is good. It reminds me of games like Super Mario RPG, Paper Mario, Mario & Luigi, etc.

Earthbound is one of the greatest games ever made, second only to chrono trigger.
