One of my buddies got me into this game...and it's tons of fun...I had to give up for a while because there is this one fight that is pretty much impassable. Any other fans out there? _________________ My shadow's the only one who walks beside me

Between Sora and Riku...the one after Maleficent as the dragon and where I don't have Donald or Goofy fighting with me... _________________ My shadow's the only one who walks beside me

Oh yeah, I remember that battle. It was a pain in the butt. I did eventually win but I don't remember anything about it. It's been years. _________________ Our greatest glory is not in never falling but in rising every time we fall.

| don't try that battle unless you have alot of elixirs and hi-potions plus use either the chocobo keyblade or the olympian keyblade they're the most powerful at the moment. |

I call that battle Forze del Male (Force of Evil) after the piece of music after it. Just dodge roll a lot, attack when vulnerable, and when he yells something like "Open your heart to Darkness", leap into the air and glide to avoid his attacks.
You may have to do some grinding before facing Riku, and don't forget to try more synthesis from the Moogles at Traverse Town.
Personally, I think Kingdom Hearts II is the better game.
And if you thought Riku was hard, you should try facing Sephiroth later on... _________________ I'm more of a "good for Dave" kinda guy. And feeding people to dragons is good for Dave. |

i'm sorry but i really really don't like Kingdom Hearts. i think it represents everything that's wrong with Square Enix right now, especially KH2. the cutscenes go on forever which wouldn't be so bad if the story made ANY sense. and they obsess over the story so much you feel like the gameplay wasn't really considered so it feels very unrefined. _________________ OH GOODIE!.net

I beat Sephiroth in KH2 just for the hell of it, and it took me over 20 tries but I did it! ^_^ |

| I don't really know why people make such a big fuss over Square Enix's cutscenes. Sure they're long but Squaresoft's older games were quite verbose with their text-driven stories, which was the equivalent back when voiceover in games wasn't possible. |
