That annoying laugh, his stupid friend, the repetitive repetitive repetitive crap in the story lines, OMFG! And every weekend they have to have all day marathons of Spongebob Asspants. I HATE THIS SHOW and my husband insists upon allowing the kids to watch this mind-numbing crap.

That is just the same as kids getting killed or injured imitating Superman or Batman. It is not unique to Spongebob Squarepants.

THANK you. I hate it too. Find him annoying as hell.
That said, I don't think you shouldn't let your kids watch it. I'd recommend trying to go out of the room, listening to your iPod to block out the noise of his hideous laugh, something like that. |

| It is a typical American cartoon, which we get too much of it in the UK. I can't belive that my NT peers still watch it and they call me immature, despite that fact they watch this show about a fictional sponge. |

I used to hate SpongeBob so much that I nearly threw up from watching it once. Nowadays, I don't mind it one bit. Once people stopped liking it so much, I guess that got me to start liking it more. I just really hate when things get so over-rated (Hannah Montana, for example).

I've told my husband that the only thing Spongebob could be doing for them is lowering their IQs about twenty points, but he doesn't seem to share my feelings on the topic.

My reason for hating Spongebob: having to see girls in high school be like, "Spongebob is my husband!" Or wearing backpacks with him on it. Jesus Christ, people. (Then again these were girls who were like "So and so is my husband" all the time and it was always someone different. I never got that bit of slang, hahahah.)
