Basically he has been shafted by a young copper / policeman.
My lad is just 21 and never been in trouble or done anything illegal - he does all the work on his car and insures it legally ( ie in his own name ... unlike many youngsters who insure their car in the parent's name ). |

I simply cannot believe this.
I pulled up to talk to my mate NEAR a zebra crossing (now I think the reason for the followin was because as I was talking to my friend, a group of lads (who maybe referred to as slight scallies) came upto my car as they knew my friend I was talking to). I stopped on the right hand side of the road before the white zigzag lines. I then saw a police X5 pull up further down the road, on the left (see picture below)
next thing I know, (see picture below) there's an X5 stopped in the middle of the road, as there were pedestrians crossing the road at the zebra crossing. He screamed at me "GET OFF THAT PEDESTRIAN CROSSING NOW!" (bear in mind he was obstructing all of the road)
I was confused, I didn't know what was going on. He told me to pull out and park further up the road. I hesitated as there were other cars around. he then continued shouting "EASE OUT NOW!!!"
he seemed serious so I slowly eased out and had to cut across cars paths that were stationary as they had just let pedestrians cross.
so I pulled up, he checked my tax and blah de blah.
next thing he fills this form out and says "sign please" I said "can I ask what this is for?" he said, yes you were parked on white zigzag lines and you were obstructing cars from seeing the pedestrians crossing. I said, "I didn't think I was, I thought I stopped before them"
he said "well you were, you've got seven days . . . ."
well, I already have 3 points and am not about to just take these RIDICULOUS points and fine for something I'm SURE I didn't even do.
I want to appeal, but am aware that if unsuccessful, it can be costly and found this article: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/migr...nd9%2C000.html

| It's difficult to explain but the zebra has 10 metre zigzgs either side and my son thinks he was very near the zigzags but not on them . |
