I just saw Cloverfield....while I like the idea and I really really liked the monster....it was oo short, and just kinda ended....blah.....I didn't even really get a good look at the monster.....

They could have done a lot better with Cloverfield... they only thing separating that from a typical Godzilla movie is the amateur camera work. Hell, they even mention Japan during the first part of the movie (apparently that is where the main character was going before the big bug-fish began tearing up New York)... and what the hell was that thing anyways? They gave no background info, I was hoping there would be an explanation at the end, but it cut straight from the last scene to the credits. Blah.

I wish Jumper was out on DVD, apparently it's not until next month... I really wanted to see that...

I saw The Eye recently.

It had a few good jump scares but also some incredible lapses in logic.

I rented Coffee and Cigarettes.

The only good skits are:
"Delirium" with GZA, RZA, and Bill Murray.
"Cousins" with Cate Blanchett & Cate Blanchett
"Strange to Meet You" with Roberto Beningi and Steven Wright

The Witches of Eastwick (I loved it)
Mask (also very good)
Tea With Mussolini (didn't finish it, lost interest)

Yes, I am in a Cher phase.

And I saw Pretty Woman for the first time the other night, it was pretty good I guess.

Kiki's Delivery Service - A cute movie; good like all of Miyazaki's films.
A Scanner Darkly - Sort of disorienting (I was really tired while watching, too, so I actually felt trippy).

I watched Blades of Glory the other day. Some people hate that movie but I thought it was hilarious. Laughing
