I am very angry with my school. I am in work experience as a radiographer but there is a strike among helthcare workers and I have been strikebound for 4 weeks now. I am not supposed to go to the hospital or at school.....and I've got an exam schedulet to the 26 th May.

The schoole hasn't given any information since the strike began I don't know if I can go to the exam because I now got 5 weeks of absent (and are only allowed 4). I don't if the exam is going to be reschedulet or what.
I am not sure I am able to pass this exam at the moment because I don't have the experience it takes.

I am so stresses and confused. Sad

You should talk to the union that organized the strike. They're generally in charge of looking after striking workers.

But the union has nothing to do with the school.

If the strike only covered the hospital, you probably should have gone to class, then. Can you give more specific information about how this all played out?

The school isn't giving much information.

I am not supposed to go to class because the teachers aren't allowed to do strikebound work. I think the school thougth it would be a short strike but now it is clear it isn't.

It's not just me thats strikebound it is in general 2,3 and 5 semesters.

This is the exact reason why I am anti-union. They claim they are protecting the worker when in reality, their choices makes things harder

So you didn't choose not to go to class? If that's the case, you need make this clear to the school. If your school has an ombudsman's office, go talk to them and let them know that you've been unable to continue your studies because of circumstances beyond your control.

I don't understand the problem. If you're not a member of the union, you don't have any obligation to follow their rules.
