My roomate cam to pick me up around 8 and I asked the shift leader(who was closing) if I could leave. He mumbled something as he was walking away, and I thought he said yea. I ask him again "what??? can I leave"? and he didn't say anything, so I took it as yea.
So I help this one new guy with something and then got my purse to leave, and the new guy was asking the shift leader about something when I said "bye".
Well, the new guy called me tonight after he got out(we have our phone numbers posted up, btw) and tells me the shift leader called his wife in to help him with stuff, because I left when I wasn't supposed to....
And I was like...wtf? I have both my and my roomate's numbers up, he should have freakin called me to come back...!! And the shift leader was pissed because they had a lot of orders to do after I left, and that was also probably why he called his wife in...
Oh...both of those guys are also drivers... I guess the shift leader wanted to take a few more deliveries before he had to stay in, and that could also be why he was mad.
So I'm nervous about going into work in 6hrs because I'll have to deal with that. The assist. manager is supposed to be coming in early, so I may try to talk to him about it, and see what he says. I don't know what the GM is going to say.....
The GM gave me a raise recently, but told me I need to watch my temper (and there were 2 things I needed to work on). It was this long almost lecture-type thingy (i guess that happens anywhere you get a raise though?).
And that was all because I was trying to get another job where I would be making more, which led to some disagreements about that, and because the GM is trying to move up in the business and become district manager(and the district manager is supposed to get his own store/become an owner).
Anyways, I was trying to watch my step, be careful about what I do since 1-2-3? wks ago because of the raise, and then this happens. |

I guess its silly of me to be stressing out about it, but I can't help it. |

Tell your manager you need clear instructions/answers as you don`t pick up on hints as you have Asperger`s. _________________ Asperger's is not a disease

I would continue to watch your step. If I have an employee that is leaving work early (for almost any reason) I start tracking attendance. If an employee can't compile perfect attendance during the next pay periods, it's easy for an employer (in the US) to claim job abandonment - which makes you inelligible for unemployment. |

I still didn't hear anything from the gm about that when I was at work today.
I talked to the assistant manager this morning and he checked the sales for after I left. Turns out they (only) made "less than $200"...which is equal to about 10 of our "medium" sized orders, in 2 hrs.
He said that that the guy's wife shouldn't have been there helping at all (since she isn't hired there). The rest of it was basically that the labor was high anyways, I left before I was told to, which is bad (and would have been worse if it had been really busy after I left), but this guy should have been able to handle the business, since he is paid extra to close like that, and because he's been doing the same job for 5+yrs. Also that he should have called a manager right after I left, and also if he felt that he needed help...he didn't and the fact that he didn't do what he was supposed to have in that situation was technically "worse".
But I'm sure there's a lecture coming up from the gm soon.
I guess I'll just have to make absolutely sure that I'm leaving when I'm supposed to be, among other things, from now on. |
