I like all many types of music and electronica is on top of the list with me, I even have brought a synth to play about with as to be stimulated by the acid sounding bass lines. I like listening to IDM mainly especially Aphex Twin, Square Pusher, Mu ziq and many more. I am currently going through a 60's 70's 80's psycodelic music stage at the moment though. Ill check out the artists on your list strange how I havnt heard of them ?

Could someone please adjust this
because I can't read it,
as the image stretches across screen
and I can't follow the text properly.
I hear many of these groups on cable tv's
"Music Choice" channel "Sounds of the Seasons"
which plays awful holiday music during some parts of year-
but the rest of the time the programming is called "The Pulse"
& has similar lineup to what's listed here.
Timo Maas-"Shapeshifter" was first I heard-hypnotic/catchy.
DJ Shadow-many tracks.
Amon Tobin-esp. "Down and to the Left"
Mandalay-esp. "This Life" & "Seventeen"
and many more.
I like vast atmospheric rhythmic
(don't care about lyrics, so long as vocals sound good musically). _________________ *"You cannot administer a wicked law impartially-it destroys everyone it touches, its violators as well as its upholders."*
I have been listening to electronica since the 1970's Kraftwerk Tangerine Dream, today I like DJ Shadow, Aphex Twin,
Chemical Brothers, DJ Coldcut, Armand Van Helden, Cabaret Voltaire, Godspeed You Black Emperor, Fatboy Slim,
The Orb, The Avalanches, Elbow

Ya I really hated hearing Manheim Steamroller Bladerunner Christmas music, it was the worst thing
I have ever heard, f***ing christmas is depressing enough without listening to that noise

Yes, I really love electronica. I stream this type of music while working on my fiction. I don't know any artists, by name, but if something really catches my fancy, I read who the artists is while it is playing That is how I discovered the Chemical Brothers. _________________ "Always Drink Upstream From the Herd."

I deleted the ones I don't know of & quoted (above) the ones I like.
Also The Crystal Method, Fluke's "Risotto" cd, The Underworld, Primal Scream's "Echodek" cd, Armen van Buren (can never spell it right !), Victor Dinaire (only know of him from his "Resident Nation-hour (#)" mixes on another Music Choice channel. Could go on listing for ages...
And thanks to whomever fixed the page so I can (yay !) read it now (fits on screen). _________________ *"You cannot administer a wicked law impartially-it destroys everyone it touches, its violators as well as its upholders."*
I might be on the same page as Viola as far as electronica.
I have a few albums that have electronica/techno influences, but it's mixed with other genres like classical, rock, or maybe even a bit of jazz. I don't like pure electronic music, but I love it when it's tastefully implemented with other types of music.
Right now I'm listening to the Blue Potential album by Jeff Mills, in which electronic loops are used in conjunction with an orchestra. Very interesting and nice to listen to.
My other notable albums are Rob Dougan's "Furious Angels" (preferably the instrumental disc) and Particle's "Launchpad." To me, they are examples of a perfect mix. _________________ Well. That was a hastily unloaded pile of incoherence.

I'm into the "Old School" Electronica such as Brian and Roger Eno, Robert Fripp, Tangerine Dream and William Orbit.
There are others in the Echoes sound-scape. _________________ Autie was I ere I saw Eitua

Can't believe I forgot to mention Dougan's "Clubbed to Death"-was obsessed with it for years until I found out what it was-heard it in several places but couldn't figure out who/what it was !
Know of/have only one track by Particle-"Launchpad Gold Medal Mix". Friend who found it put it on mix cd (of new to me stuff). I keep confusing it with another track, "Pistol Oderso" by Daniel Wang (again, someone I've never heard of excpet for this lone track).
"F.K.O." by Subtle
"orange bounce" by Ligyro
"The Klep Telescope" by Raging Family
"Reality Check" by Schneider TM
"Travel Essentials" by Sizemix
are the songs I liked a LOT, from the 2 mix cd's my pal made for me.

Am unfamilair with Roger Eno & mostly know Fripp from Crimson, but am fond of much material by the others in your list. Am not so good with titles of songs because lack of words means I can't search online for lyrics in order to get a name for the track. Heard the "Echoes" show once when visiting somewhere else. Liked it muchly but don't live in area that carries program over radio & I've got dialup so can't listen to stuff online. Grew up listening to "Music from the Hearts of Space" program on NPR, which has had plenty of groovy trance-y music over the years (Roach, Reich, Vangelis, Patrick O'Hearn, Andreas Vollenweider).
Just recently found out that a song I was obsessed with (incidental music from the movie "Heat" yet NOT on the soundtrack !) was "The Last Lagoon" from Orbit's "Strange Cargo 2". _________________ *"You cannot administer a wicked law impartially-it destroys everyone it touches, its violators as well as its upholders."*
I'm familiar with the foundations of electronic music and new age, but not so much 90s/00s electronic stuff. I really like Autechre and their first album Incunabula (which I'd say very much lives up to the pioneers) so I suspect I might like some ambient techno.
