"I do not believe in the God of theology who rewards good and punishes evil. My God created laws that take care of that. His universe is not ruled by wishful thinking, but by immutable laws."

I think that God is a mystery, so laws could possibly be a great hurdle for you my friend _________________ "We are here on earth for a little space to learn to bear the beams of love." (William Blake)

My point of view on God is well expressed by San Tommaso: "The more we know about God, the more we realize he his way beyond the limits of human reason" (hope I translated it in an understandable way ) |

The word "his" should be "is", I think.

so are my ways higher than your ways,
and my thoughts than your thoughts.

"San" probably means Saint, so it probably isn't Stan. Like San Antonio? _________________ Ego non sum parvus psittacus!

So? Einstein was wrong often enough as a physicist (his actual field of expertise), why should I trust him in theology, when he had no credentials in the field? An argument from authority should at the very least be an authority universally regarded as knowledgeable in the pertinent subject... and Einstein wasn't a theologian any more than I am. _________________ WAR IS PEACE

Einstein being pantheist, interesting.
It is said that Einstein's phrase "God does not play dice with the universe" was because he disagreed with the Heisenberg uncertainty principle, and I wonder when did he say that and to whom? _________________ We all dream; we do not understand our dreams, yet we act as if nothing strange goes on in our sleep minds, strange at least by comparison with the logical, purposeful doings of our minds when we are awake. -Erich Fromm |
