I'm 33. Reading your post sounded eerily familiar. I have experienced almost everything you mentioned. The social "drain". That clarity of thought, which doesn't come in word form,and cannot easily be written, only noted, in hope that others might be able to understand. Its amazing what some cannibis and amphetamines, can do for the mind. I suspect, that Einstein had known this, as well. I think you might know what I mean.
Keep your head up. You're not alone, completely, and I think you will find this site interesting. It provides some info that isn't really accessible elsewhere.

Oh yes, I can't remember sh*t either. I have almost no short-term memory. It's almost like my brain has trouble recognizing what should be remembered, and what should not. If I take the extra time to dedicate something to memory, it usually stays there, but requires above normal effort(I think) to do so. Although, I do think that my past drug abuse has damaged my memory, I remember having trouble remembering certain things throughout my childhood. I just didn't have a very strong memory, to begin with. Because of my memory problems, I've said this on more than one occasion,"I one of the dumbest smart people you will ever meet".
