I guess it goes along the board avoid attention seeking....sometimes it's sooo hard espeacially when they make a fool out of another at the end. 
That's why I best stay away from that ppr forum.

I used to get very involved in discussions which went against my beliefs a few years ago, but now I've calmed down. It's rather pointless, I'm not proving anything to anyone by doing it. Most of these people are just too stupid to listen to anyone other then themselves.

I try to be open minded, but I know I can be rather closed minded sometimes. When I come across someone I don't understand, I just try to accept that they are them and I am me and I can't do anything about that.

Yeah I'm just now figuring that out.
I'm ok with topics that question eachother's theories and beliefs but when it comes to ridiculing eachother for different beliefs or opinions...that's when it just turns into another flaming war. So now I've come to a point where it's pick and choose your battles. I should probably just stay away from that forum. I find myself getting just as bad as the rest.

| The ppr forum is just a breeding ground for flame wars. I'd love to have a constructive discussion there about science and religion but it isn't possible so I mostly stay away. I think most people just want to stand on their own soap box and try to convert anyone who will listen to their point of view. |

^I was thinking the same thing. When I first joined this site I wasn't prepared for attacks or nasty criticisms on that board. I was shocked because I've discussed topics like that.where it didn't involve sooo much of that.
Too bad they don't have a topic where you can discuss beliefs, science, and other aspects of philosophy without making eachother look bad because of their own value system.
