Be honest, guys.

I'm not saying there are no attractive autistic girls. There are certainly a lot of them that have great looks and great personalities.

Problem is, that the ones in my area are sheltered, unappealing, and very awkward.
There is one autistic girl I liked but she ended up going out with this Russian guy.

I'm cute and don't look all that awkward anymore
But I get what you mean, my Aspie friend has that look. She's stunningly beautiful, but she looks really awkward all the time.

I think a lot of the autistic girls I've met in person and on this site are beautiful, except they come across as awkward and that ruins it in a way. I know I'm awkward :?

If I find an autistic girl attractive, it wouldn't be just because she is autistic. :P

Perhaps I'm in the minority (wouldn't be the first time) but I think there is something quite attractive in that awkwardness. Maybe endearing is a better word? At any rate, it doesn't make them any less attractive to me.

For the short form, read only the part in [brackets]:

[Yes, but it depends on the girl. I am convinced, by the way, that there is someone for everyone in this world. You'll find her eventually--or she'll find you, you never know....]

If the person whom I'm thinking of is autistic (and I do believe she's an aspie), then yes, very much so, but (in her specific instance) only as a friend. One of my best friends, to be sure, but just a friend. It's not that she's unattractive--she happens to be drop-dead gorgeous and has the smarts to match. It's just that we don't 'click', if you know what I mean.

There's also another girl who could be an aspie--borderline, very borderline currently, but what she's told me about her childhood is classic aspie. She's the most amazing person I know, and one of my very closest friends (2nd best friend--and I am sure of this). I also happen to love her with my entire heart and soul.

It may be worth noting that I am borderline too (I was speaking with a very cool guy who works with autistic kids in Baltimore, and I commented that I had Asperger's. He then said that he would not have guessed it if I had not told him) and that may have a significant bearing on my response.

On WP, there seems to be quite a few, but I have never actually met any girls with autism.

I have never met a girl with autism (who was old enough to date anyway). But if I did her awkwardness would not be a problem. Tell me, how would awkwardness ruin it for you? I myself am awkward, so I would be sympathetic toward it, and I think it would make me love her even more. Girls who are really strong-willed, super-confident, or full of themselves usually frighten me away because I know I cannot live up to their standards forever.

And as far as physical appearance, I thiink my usual standards would apply, which should be OK seeing as how autism in and of itself does not really affect physical appearance.

:D :D :D I'm sure the topic could apply to attractive autistic men as well. One of my best friends is autistic and very handsome.

I dated an autistic girl for about 3 months, she was quite pretty and very sweet, she broke it off with me because she wanted to be single.
