I like 60's , 70's and 80's music and some 90's, but I think some of the music today is awful. |

Just recently self-diagnosed aspie... I'll change my status in my profile if that changes.
my main interest/obsession is stories... anything that has a story in it can gain my attention in it. This means lots of books, especially novels, but also short stories, auto biographies, comics... you name it. It also means computer games, though I do tend to get into non-story aspects there, such as getting a char of every class to top level in an rpg. It also means I love it when I can get a life story out of someone interesting. I'm into go on and off, if anyone knows what that is. I'm also a writer, and have written about 75k words of my novel. I also write and read poetry and short stories.
I do have one really great NT friend, and I hang out with my family a bit sometimes, but definitely have room in my life for more people. |

Hi my name is pending (I'm going to change it within a year or two to avoid my family that brings up "negative thoughts" when I think of them).
So you can call me by my nickname given to me by my internet friends.
You can call me Zek, or Fluffy (I added to it and made it Fluffy McBoom ^ ^{ancient gun lover})
I am 22 years old, living in the United States in the state of Alabama, bear in mind I do not have the redneck accent... usually.... I can mimic accents well to adjust with the morons....
I am a diagnosed Aspie. Got my papers back saying I am.
I am a high functioning Aspie, taken me over a decade to overcome the majority of my problems, and given time and circumstances I can overcome more.
I am interested primarily in stories and ideas. My goal is to become a game designer. My secondary is to at least create stories for comics and enslave an artist somewhere to draw out my stories. I only try to work in revolutionary or unheard of concepts for games, and truly original ideas for stories. This way I can stay ahead and always grasp a listener's attention. My favorite story tool is what I call, Heroic Irony, which is where a hero's tragedy is always overcome in the end for a more dynamic moment- Nothing beats a necromancer resurrecting a fallen paladin's skeleton who isn't quite under his spell. I don't have many friends, and the ones I have are all online. I plan to move from my location to a friend I met online whom I have talked to for years and I trust him with my life.
So all in all, I'm a writer but suck at writing down my ideas and stories. So I'm always looking for a co-writer or artist so I can put my funny, action filled, or romance comedies into a basis that all can enjoy. Also I need a co-writer cause making up stories alone gets boring. |

I just joined WrongPlanet about 1/2 hour ago and posted this long intro on the welcome forum

I'm a 37 year old Unix Admin / Programmer with AS. I have "friends" but no really close ones. I never get into really "deep" discussions with even my oldest friends. |
Cool. It is nice to see another programmer. |
Gee, you never said that with ME. Heck,
Im Steve, a 45 year old male that has been a Unix Admin and am still a Programmer(C,C++,PERL,PHP, SQL, Korn, COBOL, BASIC, FORTRAN, and several other languages, though I now concentrate on C, PERL, PHP, SQL, Korn) self diagnosed with AS. I have "friends" but not really close ones. Sometimes they surprise me in positive ways though. I have gotten into some deep discussions with SOME people, but usually it isn't immediately welcome, even if they DO ask questions for months that I would have answered in my little monolog. |

Hello I'm a 25 year old male NT who has a wide variety of interests including History (US, World, European etc.) video games, (though not playing them too much now), computers, Organic Chemistry, good stories (including anime) among other interests (changing all the time). I don't mind the social group though I enjoy making friends. I live in Michigan (the state with shifty weather and decent sports teams). _________________ The Mind: the most powerful computational device known in the universe.

Hi, I just spotted this thread!
I'm Sarah. I'm an undiagnosed, not sure but very probably Aspie...if that makes any sense. While I am pretty verbal, I don't do well round large groups of people, especially if they all want to talk at once - I feel overwhelmed. At any given party you will probably find me hiding in a corner reading a book. I often find it hard to talk to people, and I'm not great with names and faces. But, I've found ways of coping with this crazy world and have (hopefully) given up the need to always fit in.
I'm 39, female, British, married, no kids (but one cat!), and I do indeed have (dyed) red hair. I'm a medical clerk by day and a musician, artist and writer the rest of the time. My spirituality is what I loosely describe as eclectic urban pagan.
My obsessions include all things having to do with Nirvana (the band, although I have also been known to show an interest in Buddhism!), obscure languages and the structure of words, world religions and spirituality, myths and legends, history (the weird bits), medical stuff, the city of Seattle, and the novel I'm currently writing (an urban crime fantasy). I listen to a huge variety of music (rock, indie, classical, medieval, blues), watch very little TV (QI, My Name Is Earl, a few cartoons - I like Adult Swim when I'm in the US, which is not often enough) and tend to be about a decade behind everyone else in the movies I haven't yet seen!
If anyone wants to chat, I'll be around... _________________ Birds scream at the top of their lungs in horrified hellish rage every morning at daybreak to warn us all of the truth but sadly we don't speak bird. |

Hi, my name is Magnus
I'm 23(soon 2 b 24), male and I live in Sweden. I've got two brothers and one father (Mom passed away in august). My older brother has probably (95%) got AS. My younger brother and my father seem to be NT:s and I feel like I'm caught in the middle. What that means is that I've got an enormous need for social interaction, but very limited means of achieving it.
I'm curently studying political science, which is really a little bit too vague for me. I'l probablyl end up as a politician or a teacher (I love to hear my own voice:p). Previously,
My hobbies include reading(mostly fantasy/sci-fi), politics and (mostly talking about) sex. Sex in particular I find intriguing.
Also I dabble in RTS:s (starcraft/WC3/CNC3), RPG:s(WoW, D&D) and martial arts(have tested karate, jujuitsu, Kung-fu and Mhui-Thai so far).
You guys know any good books/self-help courses on social matters? I'm currently readning Neil Strauss's "The Rules Of The Game", and I'm considering getting involved in the seduction community. I'm looking for other people who're trying to improve themselves=D |

I'm a 26 year old male from Sydney Australia. I am fanatical about motorbikes and playing video games, they are my 2 main hobbies, and I also collect video games particularly Nintendo ones. I also enjoy motor racing, cycling, exercising, board games, listening to 80s and 90s music, watching MacGyver, chatting online, and hanging out with friends (when they're not busy.) Hmm can't think of any other hobbies but I have a few other ones. I also have other activities that I'd be willing to pursue like flying, truck driving, woodwork and metalworking. If only I had more time in my life to do more things.
I'd describe myself as a happy person (well not at the moment but generally I am), funny, positive (most of the time), active, childish, umm not sure what else . I'd say I'm a bit old fashioned and conservative in life and I am not the type that goes to church but I would describe myself as Christian.
As for my diagnosis, I'm not what I am at the moment but I suspect I have AS. Hopefully soon I will find out for sure, but I'd love to talk to with anyone about it who is willing to listen to me blabber on. |
