On the sixth day, god was tired. He had just created light, the earth, animal and plant life, and the universe as a whole. He decided to let loose since it was his friday night. After he had about 2 or 16 bud lights, he got a very bad idea. He thought it would be very funny to create a type of animal that had animal instincts but also extreme intelligence that conflicted with their instincts. After he created this bastard creation he got another bad idea. He split them into groups and told them individualy that they were his favorite people. He thought it would be hilarious to watch them all fight in his name. They did.

The next morning god wakes up totally hungover. He says "Ohh my god!! What have I done"? Then he rested.

I recommend Mark Twain's "The Mysterious Stranger".

Who cares? It's funny, and it pokes fun at the seriousness that all the religious people have made of all of this. How can anyone seriously sit down and assume that a thing called 'God' created everything in 6 days, just to have his creations muck it all up and have to be punished for it, and then destroy it all so many thousands of years later? That is something you'd expect to be seen in 'One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest' by Ken Kesey. You can belive that God exists, sure; and that there may be something called an afterlife; but to take it so seriously that you base every waking moment around it until it drives you to killing in the name of this thing, this 'religion' or 'God' or whatever is insane. Lighten up and have a laugh, because life is too short.

I don't appreciate my beliefs being mocked in such a disrespectful way.

You're gonna tell me I'm supposed to laugh when you insult me?

I have no words for how I feel right now.

What I am mocking is the holier than thou attitude that most religious people are taking to the subject of the whole of creation etc. Afterall, if you can't laugh at things like this, then what is the point?

BTW, didn't you realise that the 'Ageless Stranger' is actually another name for the Dark Lord that roams in the nethworld?

You do not believe this thread is an atheistic "Holier than Thou" attitude?

I doubt you would laugh at insults and attacks directed to your family. What's the point? After all, they are not you so why feel any emotion for them?

Why should they be offended? Use racist words while you're at it. After all, if they become insulted it is only because they are inferior. Right?
