1. FDR- Ended the Geat Depression and WWII, Also created the New Deal which furthermore made our government and economy more structured and civillized. Which also made it where economic hardships like the great depression will not effect us as badly as it used to 100 years ago.
2.Jimmy Carter- He brought honest goverenment back into the system after the Watergate Scandel and the mislead war against Vietnam. Carters Energy Policy was also so effective that if it didn't exist gas prices will be $6.00 a gallon already. Carters Energy Policy also created programs that increased the number of fuel-efficent cars and alternative forms of fuel in this country. JC also solved quite a few disputes in the Middle East and alround the world.[Thats what a Humanitarian is good at.]
3. Ronald Reagan- First Thing Reagans actions ended the Cold War. Reagan also restored americans hope in the government. His Wife, First Lady Nancy Reagan also started a bunch of campaigns to end underage drug use and sex. Reagan during his years in office also restored the economy from a slump thats been affecting our country since the Vietnam War.

Shouldn't this be PPR? Anyways, I disagree with claims that FDR brought us out of the Depression. Many economists believe his policies may have actually prolonged the Depression (after all, we had had similar economic crises before, and they never lasted for 15 years). Reagan said some things that I like, but I don't feel that he carried them into action very consistently. He did, however, win the Cold War. Kudos for that.
I picked Silent Cal for his hands-off approach.

| FDR died before WWII ended. I am unaware of the events that brought about the end of the cold war. Bush was president when the Berlin wall came down. I was 13 years old and in 8th grade at that time. |

FDR was a good President but I''m just going to warn you that mentioning his name to economists and they explained the mishaps in his New Deal thing. Teddy was pretty go himself with dealing Russo-Japanese War and other things as well.

I'll agree that TR was a total BAMF, but that quote is actually an African proverb. But seriously, the guy gets shot during a speech and, instead of seeking medical attention like any sane person, he finishes his speech. Amazing.

JFK - Didn't last long enough to really screw up; stood up and accepted responsibility for the Bay of Pigs; managed to prevent a nuclear war between the US and USSR
Reagan - I don't agree with him much politically, but he had a likable character, which was a relief after the '70s |

You forgot, Teddy also created the Square Deal which was the father of the New Deal. He also created a lot of laws to prevent unfair buisness policies, fraudulate products on grocery store shelves and increased to wages to a lot of americans. Teddy was also our 1st president to believe in labor unions. TR also created the National Park System and Gifford Pinchot, a good friend and cabinet member started the conservation program we have today. [ In my 11th Grade American History book its says that Pinchot even created the word "Conservation". |

I'm very aware of what TR did for the US. I just didn't want to post everything on him beside becoming the youngest man to become President. JFK is the youngest to be elected President but TR was the youngest at 42.

The Depression lasted from 1929-1940. [Europes urgent need for weapons and amunition ended the "Great Depression".] However even by 1936 the economy recovered to the Economic Sate during WW1.[Which was OK considering the fact we were building weapons for Europe before we got involved in both wars.] So techincally it only took a little over 10 Years to recover completrly and 6 Years to recover the economy to Pre-Depression Levels. |

Actually the Great Depression lasted to 1945 by the information acquired from 1929-1945 by economic historians and we had after WWI Depression which end in 18 months because the government basically took down everything that was for wartime use aka rations for an example. Hoover and FDR actually really didn't help us get out of the Great Depression ask an economic historian and they explained it with data backing up.
