The most common grammar mistakes are the ones that irk me the most;

Incorrect usage of there/their/they're.
Could/Would/Should of. The word should be HAVE! Confused
"I'd much rather float THEN drown" It's THAN! argh!

Txt-speak really bugs me. Can't stand having to decipher it.
People who speak like they're in an episode of Friends. There are increasing numbers of kids in Ireland speaking like American Sitcom actors.

Lastly, one of my biggest gripes is with a popular 'saying' that has emerged in the last few years and caught on like wild-fire. It's grammatically perfect though, but still really irks me: "At the end of the day..."

Uh maybe because that is the correct way? That's what I learned in elementary school. The sentance be "(name) and I' . When we do Daily Oral Language, the sentance would be 'me and (name)' bla bla bla. We had to change the beginning of the sentance to '(name) and I.'

People should speak and write as they please and getting worked up about a few mistakes or an alternative way of writing is a waste of time and bad for your mental or even physical health. Kids are more creative by nature and not so sour and grumpy about how one should use language.

The text-writing and the incorrect usage of words (your/you're/yours and their/there...) truly annoys me but I try not to dwell on it for too long since doing that only puts me in a bad mood. I also have never figured out how to decipher much of that text-writing, it just doesn't make any sense!

Maybe they really do want to drown? They're reaching out to you buddy! Give them a helping hand! Do as Dr. Kevorkian would do. Laughing

Wrong.
The presence of a conjunction doesn't change the pronoun form of the direct object. You break the sentence down:
"They came to see Jim last night."
"They came to see me last night."
"They came to see Jim and me last night."

As a subject, the compound "Jim and I" is correct. "Jim and I (We) are going to the party." "Me and Jim are going to the party," is not.

I try to keep my grammar fairly adequate.
If I send a message to someone and realize that I've obviously misspelled something it drives me crazy!

I've made a rule of not correcting other people, except for family members of course,
they already know that I'm a smart ass by nature. thumleft

I really don't like bad grammar just because it makes understanding anyone ten times harder than it already was.
Yet..... I'm not saying that I'm perfect at grammar. I hear incorrect grammar all the time so I don't know anything different, but I've been trying to learn from sources other than the conversations in my rural community.
Also, I do use the word "like" a lot and other phrases like that.
Come on..... I live in California. I can talk like that and like everyone will still understand me Laughing

As long as I can understand it, then I don't care much about how perfect the grammar is. I never understood why it's such a big deal.
