I had to go to the basement earlier to turn on the water to the hose to fill Olivia's pool and left the door open and I guess a bat was down there and decided to pay us a visit. After being swatted at by the cats for a few minutes, it landed on a window sill and I caught it with a towel and let it outside with no harm done.
Yay! I love bats!

Me too!  I'm glad you were able to set it free safely. I don't know why some people hate them; they're just fuzzy little mice that happen to have wings..and sharp teeth.. still cute though. Fascinating creatures.
I just get cockroaches here.

Where I live I get some of the little buggers at dusk. It's a thrill to see them swooping and darting around, catching insects. One evening I was out for stroll, and one started swooping around me !!! I stood stock still, and it came within a meter of me, grabbing mosquitos !! Iwas fascinated !!!

i`ll bet you were wearing clothes with a light/white color,
(or maybe it was just the mosquito it "saw")
discovered by quincidence one night that they swoop down
around me if i wear white, they follow if i move around, when
its real dark outside, the ones around here anyway |

they just aren't around here. i've seen pictures and videos of them, just never in person. they're really cool though and i'd love to see one, i just haven't had the chance. they live in some cottage places within a few hours drive, but even there they're really rare so i've never seen one. |
