"Independence is something I value as well. No one who goes with the flow goes here." she makes a vague gesture. "Maybe... maybe you have heard about the n'tŭa'kta'ik'sau?" _________________ I am not a native speaker. Please contact me if I made grammatical mistakes in the posting above.

| The being shook his head, sighing, "No, I have not. Would you care to tell me of it? Or is it some sort of secretive society?" |

The S'kele made a movement and explained: "The origin of the s'kele are said to be at a place far from here. It is said in the ancient stories that the s'kele arrived in something which can only be described as a generation ship, even though the traditional myths say it differently. It is said that the technology of the ancient ones can still be found there. An expedition was supposed to search for them, but their financier was murdered. As S'kele, this raised my interest in these stories." _________________ I am not a native speaker. Please contact me if I made grammatical mistakes in the posting above.

The elf-like man raised a brow, "Ah, then, how would you like to start afresh? The whole thing I am saying; the entire expedition. I am willing to take you wherever you wish, as long as I am allowed to take the spoils if anything should go wrong, so to speak. Would you be game for that?"

| I'd like to get into this if possible, I'm looking at a freelancer cyborg without a ship. Would this be acceptable for the group? |

Hey, this seems fun. I'd like to be an android without a ship. _________________ I don't post here anymore. If you want to talk to me, go to the WP Facebook group or my Last.fm account. |

((Well, while Kezz is suspiciously absent and Vashna won't return until in about 2 days, I can just assume that they want the thread to survive and thus want participation, so go ahead and make your character descriptions)) _________________ I am not a native speaker. Here's what I'm thinking of using, if too much please tell me and I'll see what I can do.
Name: Kayala Talron
Gender: Female (Sterile)
Age: Looks to be in her 20's, but is actually in her 40's
Race: Cyborg (base: Anthromorphic otter)
Planet: Primary residence is in Quezacoatl, her true planet of orgin is unknown, even to her.
Occupation: Freelance trouble shooter, does work others would not. Mostly work as a bodyguard or inflatraitor
Magic: Null Magic, she knows how and has craved runes into her cybernetics to protect them and by extention herself
Ship: All her resources go into her body and maintance, literally
Background: Strangely at home in the sub-terranian catacombs of Quezacoatl, Kayala remembers little of her childhood or family, infact most of thefirst half of her life are a blurr due to the cyberzation of parts of her brain (Think Johnny Nmanenic meets Ghost inthe Shell), it's a lose she was willing to make, at least that she knows of. She is a master of steath and hired by merchants and nobles as a exotic form of anti-pirate defense. She counter-boards the pirate vessel to take over their vessel, after three very successful runs she made a name for herself. She can pilot almost anything and hack/hijack it as well. Her cyber-implants and training giving her an edge few can match. |

((/me just points to her last reply. It's still valid))
R'ae made a clicking sound. Then replied "I am not sure whether I understood you. Or whether you understood me. The task will be neither easy nor simple and maybe we chase a phantom. I want you to be aware of that." _________________ I am not a native speaker. Please contact me if I made grammatical mistakes in the posting above.

((I think the anthro otter is a very interesting route to go. I'm happy to have you aboard!))
"To me this is routine...aw...nah...I'll drop the whole tough guy thing. No, its not routine. Yes, I realize I will be in danger. But I simply feel I have nothing left going around for. This could be my one shot at getting back into the action." |

((Figured I bump this thread up with a little fun writing, if this seems wrong in anyway just say so and I'll work on it.))
Current Events minus 12 hrs
In the empty space between solar systems two ships dance together, tied by a column of metal and plastic. Thier silent waltz looks like a metaphor for the calm and serenity of a couple dancing across the floor in perfect harmony. Inside however.....
"Thier destorying my ship!" a sentiant monkey screamed as he ducked another blaster round. The round scorns the wall behind him in a puff of smoke. In front of him a grim faced otter gives him a sour face as she connects a wire from the back of her neck to a sighting appractus on her rifle. "No, thier not, a few scorch marks can't do much to the interior wall of this vessel. Besides your bucket of bolts is better built then thier jury-rigged POS trust me, they want this place intacted." She closes her right eye and smiles as she lifts his rifle above the barricade her and the monkey had created and squeezes off a few round. She is rewarded with a grunt and a thunk from the other side of barricade. She opens her eye and smiles. "If they didn't want your ship intact they would have hit us with something harder and just blown your cockpit and mind you, you as well on thier first attack run, instead they hit you controls and boarded us in deep space. This is a hijacking, not a looting run."
Another volley of blaster bolts made the monkey hit the deck hard, his over-sized hands covering his head. He glared up at the otter, "Well? How do you to get us out of here like I'm paying you to do oh pirate expert?"
The smile disappeared from the otter's muzzle, she pulls a small silver device about the size and shape of a baseball and hands it to the monkey. She disconnects herself from the rifle, "Count to ten and throw that ball as far down the connector as you can, when you throw it duck, close and cover your eyes."
The monkey nodded slowly and took the device in his hands and started counting slowly as the otter moved from a sitted position to a crouching one. Half way through the count the monkey said, "Good luck Kayala."
The otter smiled for a moment before the monkey tossed the ball and the otter leapt into the cooridor as the flash grenade filled the hall with light. |
