Does anyone find that they are so worried or nervous about work that they take sick days?

I`ve taken 5 days off in 2 months. Crying or Very sad

Anyone else in the same boat?

I hate doing it but I find it so stressful sometimes. Crying or Very sad

Have done in the past, it is not good, usually followed by my leaving or being sacked from that job.
The day off I found usually makes the anxiety worse:(

Yeah, me too. Its like a vicious cycle huh? A lot of anxiety making you stressed out, then a day off to get yourself undercontrol but then it ends up making it worse. We recently had a vacation (the whole school) which results in me feeling worse in the first week back. Bummer.

I used to feel extreme guilt about taking vacation time.
I worked at a weekly news paper once and worked a year and a half straight. No vacation time. Eventually due to the nature of the job and my lack of "taking time" for myself led to a serious breakdown and depression. I highly suggest taking whatever time you are given regularly and often!

(companies, like costco, count sick days by number of times you call in; ie you get 9 sick days but if you call in multiple days in a row it only counts for one! really handy. of course after 3 days they require a dr. note.
Also unions in germany require employees to be granted up to 9 weeks of paid vacation time. crazy right? Amazing that the U.S. can have so many people working multiple jobs, and still earn below the poverty line. )

Ya, my current job only had the one issue with me being attendence. I'd have meltdowns and not be able to function for days on end and just call into work. It isn't fun but happens.

I've managed to curtail it some by moving closer to work so the travel doesn't make as much of an impact and doing some other prep-work before hand. I found the easier I can make getting to work, the more likely it is that I'll go.
